Our social ski group rented this place as it had the right number of rooms and looked amazing on the website. I'd be very cautious renting if you are looking for actual luxury. This place has seen finer days for sure. There were many light fixtures that were not working, we couldn't get the TV's to work and at one point there was a sound system, but it has been replaced by a cheap stereo that does not project at all throughout the living areas. We were tempted to bring our skates for some hockey on the pond, glad we didn't, pond is a generous description of the swampy depression in the circular driveway. Our group likes to cook and spend chalet time together, the dining table fit us, but there was no other social area that fit more than 6 or 7. The layout of this place is wonky too. it is large but much of the space is in hallways and there are lots of locked up spaces you can't use. Further examples are a cheap and very used BBQ, cooking for large groups was a challenge with just a couple of hotspots of heat. Overall, this place could be great but the descriptions are not accurate. If you want a frat house feel, this would work for sure.
Owner's Response: The guest upon departure said in a e-mail the following"Hi John, We have enjoyed our stay" In a separate follow up e-mail he said, "Hi John, We enjoyed our stay there". This is simply retaliation. Our property manager gave the guest a warning regarding a condition during their stay and we still found the same condition upon their departure. Our great room is over 1200 sq ft . We have dining seating for 24. Our great room has 2 large leather wing chairs, a 4 ft and a 8 ft sofa. We also have a billiards room which 2 overstuffed leather chairs and a six foot sofa. We have 5 flat panel televisions and a 2 surround sound systems with indoor and outdoor settings. We do not claim to have a music intercom. We do not claim to have a professional skating ring. We simply have a pond which freezes over and you are welcome to use. We do though have a lake and a ring in town if you are interested in skating. We did try to resolve this in a mutually favorable way with this guest and were not able to. We are sadden to get any bad review. We will continue to focus on improving the experience for our guest.
