Better than camping

The condo was easy to locate. The reserved parking was nice and the bed in the master bedroom was comfortable.
Airconditioning was great. My 16 year old son slept on the denim couch and said it was very comfortable. The owners were pleasant to deal with on the phone.
On the down-side. The description in the ad says the condo is newly renovated and we feel like that is very misleading and should be removed from the property description. Reasons why include:
While there were plenty of bathtowels and washclothes some need to be replaced.
bedding (sheets on beds did not fit well and would not stay on the bed in the master. fitted sheet is ripped. The bathrooms have a musty odor about them and in spite of my attempt to clean them upon our arrival and throughout the week, we could not get the odor to go away.
The carpets in the main living area and the hallway are badly stained and give the appearance, at least, of not being okay to walk on barefoot. We vacuumed the floor shortly after our arrival to see if it was surface dirt but did not see a diffrence. We are floor people but did not feel good about laying or even sitting on the floors to watch t.v or play games.
We had several issues with the t.v. in the master bedroom. The audio would cut out and would also make an annoying buzzing/humming sound from time to time during programs.
The walls are dingy and marked up as well throughout the condo. Our kids kept asking what part of the condo was newly renovated.
Upon our arrival there was a lingering, stale fish odor that we noticed for the fist several days of our stay (it would hit you when you entered the condo after being away for a length of time) and we dealt with a gnat problem in the kitchen from the very first moment of our stay. We brought some food items from home and as we were unloading our cooler we discovered the gnats in the kitchen which prompted us cleaning the entire kitchen after having just driven 16 hours. We dealt with the gnats the entire week we were there in spite of our cleaning efforts. Also, our very first morning we were prepaing to have breakfast and noticed that some of the pans and plates needed washing as they had an oily feel to them.
Over all the condo has the feel of being furnished with "castoffs" and needing renovation.
We cleaned the condo upon our arrival and again the morning of our deaprture in hopes that it would be a little more welcoming for folks coming after us.
