WE NOW HAVE BIKES FOR OUR GUESTS TO USE, ALONG WITH THE BOATS (Free) ! 'Bamboo Cottage' is a newly renovated 1940's cottage with lovely handcrafted stained glass windows and wood floors. This cottage is very clean and comfortable. (Request our home-owner's website for more information and pictures.) It is located just minutes across the Neuse River from downtown historic New Bern. This charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, cottage has a large living/dining room, eat-in kitchen, front porch, sun room and a large deck overlooking the very private 'bamboo garden'. This comfy cottage has privacy and yet is close to everything. New Bern is a beautiful, historic, small town. There are all of the historic sites, as well as, the natural beauty of the area. 'Bamboo Cottage' is a perfect spot to enjoy them both. The cottage is located just one house back from the Neuse River and has water access at the end

Just across the Neuse River from the 'Bamboo Cottage' is the town of New Bern with it's many interesting destinations, including Tryon Palace, museums, restaurants and shopping. New Bern is celebrating it's 300th anniversary in 2010 so there are many extra activities. And if you would like to venture a little further, the ocean and beaches are less than an hour away, and the quaint waterfront towns of Beaufort and Morehead City are even closer. The Croatan National Forest is just outside of New Bern and offers hiking and nature observing. 'Bamboo Cottage' is a great centralized location to explore the coastal area or to stay right around New Bern and relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, look no further!

We have stayed at the BAMBOO COTTAGE multiple times & have been delighted. It has everything you need, including a washer and dryer. The kitchen makes it very easy to prepare a meal ... and the porch swing is highly recommended to sip your morning coffee =)

Lastly, the owners were very accomodating in giving us access to the propery since were arrived after hours. Again, if you looking for a place in the area ... look no further!

We really enjoy the Banboo Cottage, gave my son -that is in the Marines- a relax feeling just like he was at home. It is quiet, nice, clean and with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable.
We recomend for any family that would like to have a home away from home.

Thank you so very much Missy, Nick, and Zak for your hospitality and making us feel very welcomed. The cottage is beautiful, charming, and immaculate! Also, fully equipped with all the items necesssary to make a vacation easy. We look forward to staying in the cottage next year! I really will miss it here. Thanks for making our vacation a spectacular one. We left a funny video for the next guests to enjoy.
