Great Bar Harbor village location with some ocean views on second and third floors. Four decks for relaxing outside. Bike from house into Acadia Nat'l Pk, and walk to concerts/Historic Shore Path/shops etc..This 100 year old house was renovated to enjoy the company of family and friends while giving some spots to be alone to read or relax. Entering the house there are unusual glass windows on the cypress wood porch. House has two living/dining areas, two kitchen areas, washer/dryer and bedroom on the first floor. The front second floor leads into a tower with a master bedroom, bath and deck on the third floor. House is located 1/2 block from the water and several blocks from pier, Free Transportation into the park, Main street, and an island you can walk to at low tide. Great for a diverse group to enjoy all the island has to offer without the need for driving. Need more/less space ask about Aster House next door or Abacus.

My group was made up of 6 long time friends. This house was perfect for us, each person had their own room. The house is within walking distance of everything:grocery store, coffee shops, stores, restaurants, shuttle bus to Acadia National Park and the rest of the island. The house has plenty of room to all gather together and places to be alone to read, nap or whatever. We didn't use the car while we were there choosing to walk everywhere or use the free shuttles. The house is charming. The property looked just like the pictures and was well maintained and clean. The owner was quick to respond when we had questions about the area. I would recommend this property. There is bicycling, lots of restaurants, shops and things to do.

Can't beat the location!

Upon driving up to the house we were a little nervous--an older house, limited parking and overgrown landscaping, and two lots up a new house was being built. When we walked in the door, however, we were totally pleased! The location was the absolute best--no need to move cars again--everything is a SHORT walk. The house was spacious, very clean, large comfortable bedrooms spaced far enough from each other to give quiet to everyone. Plenty of tables for people to sit down and eat (we had 12 people), and rooms large enough to accommodate everyone for game time. No air conditioners but nights cooled down nicely. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Drawback--no yard for children to play in or for cookouts (we did put out a small hibachi and cook one night), but being in town was the best! I would definitely stay there again--I loved Seamist!
