Lone Star Lake House offers a thoroughly Texas theme throughout. Each room telling a different story of Texas’ fascinating history. From The moment you enter the home you’re greeted by the Texas Cowboy entry. Each of our five spacious bedrooms feature a specific historic event that shaped the history of the lone star state. Our master bedroom tells the story of Terry’s Texas Rangers. Another tells of possibly Texas’ most famous story, The Alamo. And learn about the struggle for Texas’ freedom in the Texas Independence Room.

'The Come and Take It Cannon Room', single over double bunk bed.
The entire north end of Lake Conroe is encompassed by Sam Houston National Forest, affording a spectacular boating getaway as well as hiking or wildlife viewing.
The Lone Star Hiking Trail, located in Sam Houston National Forest, Features 127 miles of overland hiking trails.
Lake Conroe features many restaurants that you can boat to, from McDonald's, to fine dinning and everything in between. Many of which feature live music for your entertainment.
Live entertainment is featured aboard the Southern Empress Paddle Wheeler dinner cruise as well.
Fishing is hot at Lake Conroe with catches of black bass, white bass, catfish, crappie & striper common. Fishing guide services are readily available. Walden on Lake Conroe consistently ranks in the top 10 golf courses across Texas. The 11th hole, a double dogleg par 5 measuring 589 yards, was selected as one of the top 500 holes in the world by Golf Magazine in 2000. Reciprocal from golf professional to golf professional, Monday through Thursday. Although Walden is a private course there are more than a dozen pubic golf courses to choose from in the immediate area.
Shopping is not far away at the Conroe outlet mall as well as the Woodlands shopping complex. Old Montgomery offers a glimpse of Texas’s early history (Third oldest town in Texas and birthplace of the Texas flag) and offers unique antique shopping at it’s best. Many activities can be accessed via boat from the house. The activities in this area are too numerous to list here, not to mention cosmopolitan Houston and it’s many offerings including NASA, the theater & professional sports.
