'The View'-- 3 bedrooms plus large loft, 3 full baths, jacuzzi room, sleeps 8-10

This bright, beautiful European-design Penthouse Condo will make Big Boulder Lake part of your living room. Even from the upstairs Jacuzzi, the lake is viewed from the windows that reach up to a cathedral ceiling. Privacy is built in with the angle of the building, which places you nearly “in” the lake.

Unlike many other accommodations in the Pocono’s, this retreat is air-conditioned and has an updated kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer combo. There is plenty of room for the family.

Two bedrooms downstairs each have a full bath. One has two full beds, the other a king. The loft contains a sitting area with TV; two twin beds; and a bonus room with a queen-size bed; as well as a Jacuzzi room and full-bath. The kids can play games while waiting for dinner. Listen to your favorite CD in the living room while conversing with the cook, or watch TV. The gas grill on the deck will keep the mealtimes simple.

Step out onto the deck to feel nature and immerse yourself in it. Deer and ducks and chipmunks will entertain you, and sailboats and kayaks will add to your view. Throw a fishing line into the stocked lake. The heated pool for summertime use is viewable from your deck as well. In season enjoy the hot tub there while watching the picturesque lake and mountains. You will feel as though you have been transplanted. Also in summer, there are 2 beach areas and another pool and with a restaurant within a short walking distance. At this Lake Club, you can rent boats, sit on the beach, or fish.

Many restaurants as well as golf, miniature golf, bowling, a movie theater, paint-ball, Traxx Motorsports, and whitewater rafting , are only a hop, skip, and a jump away. Visit the weblink below to get information on attractions, shopping and the Festivals—Celtic, Blues, Wine, Arts and Crafts. Tthe Big Boulder ski slopes or tubing slopes are across the lake. The ski slopes can be viewed from the deck or parking lot. Jack Frost is another ski area minutes away.

The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the place comes with ALL the amenities you could possibly want. It is on the top floor, so not recommended for persons with disabilities.

Else that, it's truly fantastic:
- a great view of the lake
- very clean
- a quiet location (we were there in the fall/off-season)
- great rates
- good nearby restaurants (reservations are good, even in the fall!)
- great owners

We did have to drive a ways to rent a boat. The nearby paintball is NOT for the amateur. The stores and shops do close early, and getting beer/wine/liquor proves tricky (separate stores, couldn't actually find liquor - PA people would be used to that, though, I'm sure).
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great spring vacation

This condo unit was a welcome respite from the day to day busy-ness of city living! The view of the lake and surrounding mountains is absolutely gorgeous and the condo is welcoming, clean and spacious - we did not even have to use the 2nd floor since the 1st floor accommodations were plenty!
The bedrooms are very restful due to tasteful and elegant decor. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of room. The 2nd floor comes equipped with a spa bathroom, separate bedroom, 2 twin beds and a sitting area. The view from the lake is breathtaking and the deer, which came right up to our car with tails wagging, were a pleasant surprise as well. Tom and his family are extremely kind and helpful and Tom lived up to his name with great rates!
I would definitely recommend this stay - You certainly will enjoy it!

My family and friends stayed at the View during Christmas and we loved it. The condo conveniently is located in the Big Boulder, walking distance to the ski area. It has an amazing view from the balcony; it's probably even prettier in the summer. The price was very affordable and working with Jackie was a pleasure. It is specious, clean and it has everything in the kitchen if you feel like cooking. I will definitely recommend it and we will be probably coming back for another nice vacation.

Beautiful View /Great Place

Our family of 7 spent a week at this great condo overlooking Boulder Lake. The condo had plenty of room for us to spread out. Our 3 teenagers enjoyed the bedroom and loft area. They had a dbl bed, 2 twins, a bathroom and sitting area all to themselves which made them very happy. The younger kids were on the 1st floor with us but they also had their own room. The condo is decoraed very nicely and we thouroughly enjoyed spending our "down time" there. The view of the lake was beautiful from the balcony and the pool was just to he left. We enjoyed the pool, beach and tennis courts on the property. There were plenty of things to do and see within a short drive. We visited Bushkyll Falls, Jim Thorpe and the Hickory Run State Park. We went horseback riding, golfing and white water rafting. For the out door adventurer, there were lots of trails for hiking or mountain biking. We saw lots of deer and turkey which the kids enjoyed. Tom & Alice were very helpful throughout the rental process. Thanks to them for sharing their great place.

We had the best time at the View this December! It was a shockingly short drive from Big Boulder Resort and Boulderview Tavern, and not far from Jack Frost and cheaper equipment rental shops. The living room space, with high ceilings, fireplace, plenty of seating, and the amazing view of the lake was ideal. There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable, it was extremely affordable, and the jacuzzi upstairs was relaxing as well, especially after skiing all day. The owner is extremely friendly and makes the rental process incredibly simple.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
