Paradise!

We are from the Netherlands and were traveling trough the USA and decided to finish our 6 week trip with a stay on Hawaii.
We first went to Oahu for 2 days and then flew to the Big Island. We consider ourselves very lucky that we booked this beautiful house there. Even the pictures don't do justice to this really wonderful house. It has everything we could wish, a very large and deep pool 15 meters long, a private sun deck on top of the house, a pool table, air hockey, big TV's, body boards, fishing things, all the stuff for snorkeling and swimming etc. There were also bicycles and and canoe we could use.
The house was clean and the big garden, with many tropical plants and fruits, was very nice. We loved the quiet but not secluded surroundings. At night we only heard the sea and the birds singing. The big wooden gate gives you total privacy. Our two boys slept above the garage in the two bedroom guest house with their own bathroom. In the morning they could go directly to the pool and the hot tub.
On arrival we were warm welcomed by Barry and his wife, the housekeepers who live in the neighborhood. They answered all our questions and told us where to find everything and where we could go for sightseeing, swimming and shopping etc. They (and also the owner Rod) were very helpful and explained us everything we wanted to know about the Island and the house.
I really can not find a negative point about this property except the distance to Europe!
We want to thank Barry and his wife and of course Rod for the fantastic 9 days we had in this house.

Owner's Response: There's nothing more satisfying to a vacation property renter than getting a good review. Having someone have such a great vacation they actually take the time out of their hectic schedule (while playing catch up at work after they've been away) to write a review... It doesn't happen that often... I get the occassional phone call or quick email saying thanks your house was great.... All of which are great, but every once in a while somone takes as much time out, as we (the owners) put in.... And it feels good!
In these tough economic times I'm more concerned than ever that my guests are happy with their choice to stay at "Tru Paradise"... On arrival day I'm all nervous... Hoping the guests are walking into what they consider their "perfect vacation" and thankfully the de Bois' did... I only wish all my guests were as kind and caring as they were.
