You can dock your boat at your private dock in the backyard when you're not enjoying the fishing and water life on the bay & walk just 1.5 short blocks to the white sands of the guarded S. Bethany beach. This is the best of both worlds. Fenced back yard for pets and children. Available as a year round rental, seasonal rental, monthly rental or weekly rental.

You can easily enjoy the boardwalks, dining, shopping and excitement of all three towns and then seek respite in the quiet, residential town of South Bethany. Delaware offers tax-free shopping. If you are familiar with the area, this cottage is located on Brandywine Drive, about 5 blocks north of McCabe's Gourmet Cafe.

Notes: We only rent to families - NO GROUPS. Fully equipped kitchen with all standard appliances . An outside shower is available to rinse off the sand after a fun day on the beach. This unique cottage is located a few blocks away from a shopping area which includes family style dining, shops, a pizza restaurant, a gourmet cafe, etc. Because it is on the water you can bring your boat (or rent one) and enjoy beautiful sunset cruises, or quiet excursions into the national wildlife park for viewings of eagles, blue heron, etc. You can catch crabs and small fish right off the dock & enjoy family fun in the large fenced in yard. The cottage is located halfway between Rehoboth Beach, DE and Ocean City, MD

Dear Rose,
We couldn't wait to rent your condo again this summer! The kids grew so excited when they realized that we were staying at the "condo with the canal and the blue heron"!
This year, we took advantage of the Rehoboth Outlets, just 20 minutes away. The bargains were great!
Another day, we took a day trip up to Cape Henlopen State Park, and enjoyed a wonderful tour of the WWII watch-out tower, cannons and underground bunkers along the coast. What a fascinating piece of history!
This year, more than the first, we re-discovered McCabe's Gourmet Shop right around the block from your condo. Just the thought of their fresh pastries, baguettes, coffee and fresh mozarella was enough to get us all out of bed in the mornings!
In all, thank you for offering your condo to all of us out there in need of peace, body and soul. We sure get is here!
We will return again!

Cottage By The Sea is amazing! The picture does not do this house justice. With three young children, we were slightly concerned about crossing Route 1 to go to the beach, but the pedestrian crosswalks, large grassy medium strip, and strictly-enforced 35-mph speed limit made the journey a breeze. It is actually faster to walk to the beach than to drive. And canoeing on the canal out back is a real treat.



We all want to go back to Cottage By The Sea.
