This home has a central location on Soliman Bay with beautiful views of the water. As you enter you will be welcomed by a spacious first floor with high ceilings and plenty of windows. One side has a well equipped kitchen complete with a blender, microwave, coffee maker and an island with three bar stools. The dining table can seat up to six people. The living room has a large welcoming sofa and coffee table. Entertainment is provided by a CD player and satellite TV. There is a half bath on the main floor. The living room door opens to the beach side veranda and the sandy path to the bay. Two air conditioned bed rooms are located upstairs. The main bedroom has a king bed. A crib and inflatable queen bed are also available for our guests. The other bedroom has two queen beds. Each bedroom has a bath with shower, bottled water and safe. Hammocks and chairs are on the beach under the palapa waiting for you. Two sea kayaks are ready to take you on snorkeling and sightseeing adventures.

Casa Los Tulipanes, is located on the secluded and tranquil Soliman Bay. Just about 60 miles south of the Cancun airport, Los Tulipanes is a world away from the fast pace. Come relax on your private beach knowing that the fabulous Mayan ruins of Tulum are just a 15 minute drive away. In the nearby village of Tulum, you will find supermarkets, restaurants, and shops for whatever you need. Fresh fish, fruits and vegetables are plentiful in Tulum, a town steeped in its Mayan traditions. Internet cafes are numerous in town as well. Oscar y Lalo restaurant is a short 10 minute walk up the beach. The neighboring bay to the South, a 5 minute drive, hosts several other restaurants as well. Golf, blue water fishing, cave hiking and cave diving are just minutes north on highway 307. We have a guide book in the house that can answer many of your questions. After arriving, if you do not want to leave, just hire our fabulous chef, then sit back or just snorkel the bay to your heart's content

Excellent vacation spot!

Soliman Bay is a quiet, private beach with little traffic other than the pelicans an a few kayaks. We enjoyed getting to know some of our neighboring beachcombers and the easy access to many of the top tourist locations. Although our family of 6 had their dream vacation at Los Tulipanes, on Soliman Bay, one week did not give us enough time for all the snorkeling, scuba diving lessons, temple climbing, and sun bathing that is offerred at this heavenly spot. We need to book again! Thank you Bill for making your home available to us and Gracious Vincente for taking care of us.
We hope to return.

I would never stay here again.
Owner's Response: After years of very satisfied guests, some often returning the same time each year, I am sorry to hear that you would not like to return in the future.

While not every guest has the time to write a review on our website after returning to their busy schedules back home, our guest book at our home in Mexico is filled with positive comments (and great ideas about local things to do) from our prior guests. This information shared by our past guests is quite helpful to our new visitors.

A nice advantage of maintaining a website at HomeAway is that we can update our site with information and ideas that will help our guests plan for their trip and better know about the area's activities.

We also are able to update the site with new photos as we update our home's interior decor and gardens.

Our goal has been, and will continue to be, to inform our guesta and share our knowledge and experiences in order to help our guests prepare for a wonderful and relaxing vacation.

Paradise! Casa Los Tulipanes is definitely has a relaxing atmosphere with great ocean views. The care takers did an excellent job. Vicente and family were wonderful hosts. They prepared us a couple of delicious meals and even set up a fishing trip for us. The snokeling in the bay was great thousand of sardines/anchovies swimming around us. We even got to see a couple of rays swim by. The ruins in Coba are a must as well as the ones in Tulum. We highly recommended lunch at El Capitan in Tulum (by far the best mixed shrimp coctail I've every had). In all we had a wonderful vacation. We plan to revisit Casa Los Tulipanes next year.

Los Tulipanes ~ peaceful, private & relaxing!

My husband and I plus our two sons stayed at Los Tulipanes in June of 07. Our first encounter was even better than I imagined & hoped for. You step off the front porch onto a private sandy oasis thick with beautiful vegetation ~ only feet away, it opens up to an incredible view of Soliman Bay. Privacy & tranquility abound. Tulum is just a short drive to the ruins and stores and many other activities are within 15 minutes in either direction from the home. My boys and I really enjoyed the cave diving nearby but we spent most of our time snorkeling from the beach in front of our home. Everyone involved with Los Tulipanes from booking to staying was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Los Tulipanes for a secluded getaway.

Fantastic Beach and spotless house!

What more can I say, my family had a ball and the staff set up an "inflatable bed" for my collage age daughter I had my doubts but it looked great and daughter reported it very comfortable. And I have leaned not to argue with daughter ( wife as well).

We uesd the A/C one afternoon only and it is very strong and very quiet.

The problem is the area has so many atttractions and restaurants we did not knowwhat todo first but our tooshort week ended withislounging on the white sandy beachin fronof Los Tulipanes beasue it really is like paradise.

5 stars for us and thanks to Rosa for all the local knowledge. Lissten to Rosa for restautant recs.
