You have free run of the owner's nice pool next door. (Extra cost if you request pool heating)
Each bedroom has it own TV, and the living room has a big screen TV, plus there are two VCR/DVD players.
Beach chairs, Beach towels are all included, even a cooler and beach umbrella.
All rooms have ceiling fans. The house is furnished as a home, not as a rental. Consider the spring & fall. The weather is wonderful, probably the best of the year. The area is uncrowded, and the rental rate is low, and if you ask, we will give you an extra 10% off in May, October and November. What is the weather like where you are in the late fall?
In the winter months we get lots of requests for longer rentals, so we will usually not confirm one week rentals until later in the booking period, so as to allow these longer rentals to have the first choice of dates.
The large back yard is fenced for your pets to run. The owners next door are pet rescue people.
The Englewood Area: :
Englewood is a quiet quaint little seaside town, located on the Gulf Coast of Florida, about 35 miles from Sarasota, and just south of Venice. The beaches are on Manasota Key and run for miles on the Gulf side of Lemon Bay. This is 'old-time' Florida, with no high rises along the ocean or anywhere in town. Local shops and galleries will offer everything you need, and major shopping centers are about 15 miles away. We even have a big new Walmart, and all major grocery stores. There are two large nature Parks in town, great for walking and learning about Florida's Flora & Fauna. At night you can still see the stars, and every sunset has its audience on the beach. With your arrival instruction you will get a list of things to see and do, and local restaurants.

We have a great list of things to see and do in the Englewood area. A list of restaurants also, and some all-day trips. We will send you this when we send your arrival instructions. There is also a book in the house with helpful brochures. Even if you do not book with us, we are happy to send you a copy by email. Just ask and provide your email address. There is a canoe to use to explore the canals, and two bikes. Englewod has opened a new park a couple of blocks away on San Casa. Trails connect to three parks and over 400 acres.
The owners, John & Maggie Probst are residents since 1990, coming from PA. John is ex Navy, and can fix everything. Maggie loves animals, and in the summer welcomes her guests to join her on her morning turtle walks on the beach. She watches over Turtle nests and reports the results to Mote Aquarium in Sarasota.
