Beautifully restored 19th century town home in a terrific location. Two blocks from the Braddock Road Metro station for quick and easy trips into the museums and night life of Washington DC; no car is necessary. The two story brick home has two bedrooms and will comfortably sleep four (five if the convertible sofa is utilized). The newly renovated kitchen is spacious and inviting and open to the family room. We have original hardwood floors throughout and a cleaning service to make sure the home is clean and welcoming upon your arrival. A large porch overlooks a nice yard with a large tree and swing; perfect for quiet mornings before a bustling day of touring all that the area has to offer.
As close as we are to DC, Georgetown, DuPont Circle and cultural Adams Morgan; Old Town Alexandria is even closer. Steeped in colonial American history; Old Town is a small city with so much to offer. Visit Mt. Vernon, the home of George Washington as well as one of the oldest American Seaport towns with galleries, great restaurants and shopping. Five minutes from Ronald Reagan National Airport by train or taxi.
We have lived in Old Town Alexandria since 1994; we love this small city and hope to share it with others.
Charming Old Town Alexandria has many exciting, modern amenities and historical treasures to explore: from Gadsby's Tavern, the Lee Boyhood home, Christ Church, and cobblestone streets to the renowned Torpedo Factory Art Center, upscale shops and a vibrant and diverse restaurant scene. We love living in Old Town and hope guests will discover that this quaint city has as much to offer as the District itself.
