Enjoy the best of Santa Cruz all within walking distance. Stay at the ultimate Santa Cruz vacation rental house in the very popular Seabright Beach neighborhood. You can walk to the Boardwalk, the Warf, the yacht harbor and even downtown from this location. This two story, two bedroom, 2.5 bath home has all the elements of the perfect vacation get-a-way. The home is on quiet Mott Avenue and is situated just 110 steps from Seabright State Beach, a south facing beach and the warmest, sunniest beach in Santa Cruz County. Seabright beach is 1/2 mile wide & bordered on the west by the San Lorenzo River and Santa Cruz Boardwalk and to the east by the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor. The home is fully remodeled residence. For maximum white-water view of the bay, you’ll find all of the living spaces upstairs.

Upstairs Living Area: The living spaces of this home are located upstairs to take advantage of the fantastic white water views, of the Monterey Bay, the beautiful cypress trees, and the neighborhood roof-tops and the Seabright neighborhood.

The upstairs area is large, open and very bright. At almost 600 square feet, this large living area includes the living room, kitchen area, dining area, sun room area and a convenient half bath. The area upstairs features 11, (yes eleven) , skylights and 19 windows so perhaps we should consider the whole upstairs a sun room! Not to worry, there are blackout shades if it’s just too much. You don't need the shades for privacy though since you are high above everyone.

Upstairs Deck: The rooftop deck is 275 square feet, and is accessible right outside the upstairs living room where you can relax, listen and look at the ocean and also enjoy great views of the Seabright neighborhood. The deck enclosure design provides maximum privacy from neighbors yet maintains 100% of the surrounding rooftop, cypress trees, beach and ocean view. The capped, glass top railing also provides fabulous shelter from breezes on those cooler days, making the deck functional even during less than ideal weather.

Living Room: The living room contains a large “L” shaped built in sofa, a gas fireplace, 47 inch LCD HDTV and multimedia entertainment center. The built-in sofa can be easily converted to a two twin bed sized sleeping area if needed. The sofa cushions are 3 feet wide eight inches thick and very high quality and are very comfortable for sleeping. This isn’t like sleeping on one of those fold out sofa beds. To round out the luxury of the living room, there is a electric massage recliner chair for complete relaxation.

Our home is located at the ocean on the first block of Mott Avenue about a hundred steps from Seabright State Beach and is off main roads so traffic noise is not a problem. There is a lot to do within walking distance of the house. The Santa Cruz Boardwalk sea side park and also the yacht harbor are only a few minutes walk from the house. In a few minutes you can easily walk to several fine restaurants, coffee shops, bars and even a rock climbing indoor facility. The Santa Cruz Warf and downtown Santa Cruz are are about a 25 minute walk. You have one of the best beaches in California right outside your doorsteps. Seabright Beach is sometimes called “Castle Beach” by local old timers and is a great family beach. You can swim, bodysurf, beach comb and picnic on the beach. Lifeguards are stationed on Seabright Beach during the peak summer season. At night beach fires are allowed.

We stayed at this rental for four nights in January 2008. We have rented several properties before including some in Santa Cruz and we thought this one was great. It is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable (great beds!) and very clean. We loved the view from the deck and the kids loved to sit watching the ocean from the breakfast nook. The owners were very accomodating and helpful. Hopefully we will manage to visit the area again soon and if so we will definitely be in touch.

This place was fantastic. I would stay here again. The porch is lovely and relaxing. There are plenty of linens and the kitchen is well stocked. It is really very close to the beach, and a very short walk to the boardwalk. In my opinion a perfect location. No parking restrictions plus a garage. I didn't use the jacuzzi but it is enormous. I highly recommend!

The house is definitely as described in both words and photos. The mornings were cool and we watched the bay while sipping our morning coffee. Did a jacuzzi in the evening. Walked down to Aldo's restaurant at the Harbor for breakfast and then out to the lighthouse. There were pelicans flying by and cormorants diving for fish. Got to use the kitchen and it's got everything anyone would need. The place was immaculate. Anyone interested in a romantic getaway couldn't ask for better.
