Our vacation home, Chalets de Dorado del Mar, is located on a cul-de-sac in the prestigious Dorado del Mar, in Dorado Puerto Rico, elegantly manicured community. This beautiful home has a private back yard with a very small pool, 42' plasma TV along many other amenities for your enjoyment. This is a private 2 story, 3 bedroom + den, 2 car garage house which offers 24hr security with gated access. You are a few minutes drive away from the Embassy Suites Dorado Beach Resort and Golf. You can walk along the beach and participate in the hotel amenities such as golf, shopping and other conveniences. Dorado is located on the north coast of the island of Puerto Rico just 20-30 minutes from San Juan, Old San Juan, and Plaza las Americas (the largest shopping mall in the Caribbean). Relax and take in the tropical lifestyle and surroundings of this small quiet town. The weather is incredible, the water is pristine, the people are friendly, and the food is delicious.

The rental fee must be received 60 days prior to arrival. The property will only be booked after having a legal and financial commitment (deposit and signed rental contract) in hand.

Dorado Del Mar Golf Club: Dorado Del Mar Golf Club was designed by Chi Chi Rodríguez back in 1998. It's signature hole, #10, is a par 5, 525 yard beauty. Stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and water on 12 of the holes make it a golf-course not to be missed. Green Fees: 6am-12pm $102 12-3pm $87 3pm-closing $52 Night range available - open until 9pm.

The Town: Dorado is a small tourist town in the northern coast of Puerto Rico, 15 miles west of San Juan and is located in the norther region of the island, bordering the Atlantic Ocean, north of Toa Alta, east of Vega Alta, and west of Toa Baja. Dorado has various upscale neighborhoods and a small town with a Spanish town square (plaza). All within our community: - The Paradise Cafe, located in the atrium of Embassy Suites Hotel Dorado del Mar, welcomes you to refined living in an elegant but casual setting with an excellent ocean view. Where to go!: Go to El Morro in Old San Juan to see a six-level fortress (the Caribbean's largest) dating back to the 1500s and incredible views of San Jan Bay. For further 1500s fun, go to La Fortaleza, which was originally built by Charles V to ward off attack by Caribe Indians, but has since been converted into an opulent governor's mansion. Considered holy by ancient civilizations and rumored to be visited by aliens, El Yunque rainforest is a spectacular aggregation of vegetation and wildlife. The forest is home to 150 fern species, brilliantly colored flowers, and the nearly extinct Puerto Rican parrot. It lies only 45 minutes from San Juan near Luquillo. For nature's magic show, wear your goggles at night and go kayaking in a lagoon beneath a crescent moon to see a dazzling display of bioluminescence. The greenish sparkle is actually the light of thousands of glow-in-the-dark plankton, but to the casual observer dipping a paddle into the deep, it looks like illusory pixie dust.

Beautiful!

We recently enjoyed a short stay here and it was absolutely wonderful! The house is beautiful, it was open and airy, plenty of room for all. Very spacious, contemporary, beautifully decorated. The back patio with pool was so inviting and relaxing. You can have a good time here without even leaving the house. The owners are very gracious, very accomodating people. We didnt have any problems at all during our stay and definately look forward to our next visit to Puerto Rico so we can make a return stay here. if you get a chance, visit El Ladrillo Restaurant, pricey but so worth the experience of the food, the surroundings, the piano bar..

We enjoyed cooking in the fully applianced kitchen...sleeping in the comfortable rooms, enjoying the sounds of the coquis at night and during the day just taking in the scenery. I loved everything about this place!

We actually would have rated this rental as excellent, but the kitchen was such a disarray. Several dishes were not clean, so we cleaned all of them (the coffee pot probably had not been wiped down for quite awhile), items were scattered, for example plates and glasses were in separate cabinets, not all together, which made it hard to find things, and we had to buy a can opener since there wasn't one. But overall, we enjoyed the house and felt everything else was in order. The backyard was awesome and we enjoyed sitting out there for dinner and at night just to relax. We would recommend it to others.

Great Vacation

I stayed at this home with my family for almost a week. It was very well maintained and comfortable. Great location since it wasn't too far from San Juan or other tourist attractions. It was a great place to unwind after a full day of being out. The backyard was extremely relaxing especially with the coqui that apparenly live in the palm trees. The only drawback was the pool was on a timer so when we would have liked to enjoy it the most in the evening we couldn't. Besides that it was a great vacation and the accomodations definitely added to the whole experience. I would recommend this home to others.

Unlike a jacuzzi that needs a on/off switch for use, the pool pump is on a timer, as it only provides the necessary cleaning time recommended by our maintenance personnel. Great Home

I spent a week at this lovely home with my husband, 2 year old twins and my aunt and counsin. We loved the house - the small pool was perfect for the kids, and perfect for a refreshing dip while taking sun. The outdoor bbq and dining area served us well, as we entertained some friends and family who live in PR. And, the outside lounge area was a great place just to relax.

The house is also located in a very convenient place, near shopping and dining.

We would definitely look to return to this house in the future.

Fun and Relaxing Vacation in Paradise

My fiancé and I had a vacation of a lifetime in Puerto Rico. This house was is absolutely beautiful! From the moment we drove up we felt a sense of tranquility and relaxation. When you walk into the house you are greeted with the soothing sounds of a small water fountain tucked away nicely underneath the staircase. The house is equipped with every amenity I have at home which was very convenient. It was clean and decorated with a modern tropical style that complimented the home nicely. The house is very big with an open floor plan that gives it a nice flow. The outdoor pool area was my favorite part of the house. We spent countless hours sunbathing and relaxing by the pool sipping cocktails. The house is also conveniently located a short distance away from the Embassy Suites Hotel which has a beautiful secluded beach area as well as a nice bar area where you can get the best food and drinks! The people there were very friendly. On Thursday and Friday nights they have a salsa band playing there and there’s even a dance floor, it’s a ton of fun! The house is also located only a couple of blocks away from a grocery store and a CVS pharmacy. It is easy to get around the island, especially if you want to go to San Juan or Isla Verde, which is only a 20-30 minute drive from the house. We even drove to el Yunque which I highly recommend to anyone that goes to PR. There you will find the most spectacular views of the island and beautiful hiking trails. Overall we had an awesome time in Puerto Rico, the island is beautiful, the people are friendly and the house is amazing. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone that wants to have a fun and relaxing vacation in paradise.
