Los Portales Villa is beautiful! The view is amazing.

The house managers were attentive and provided excellent referrals on excursions. Ziplining, mangrove tour, horseback riding, and waterfall rappelling were fun activities.

Chef Tim Davis, a referral from the owner, was hired for two evening dinners. Highly recommend!

The Dominical area is lush and green. Definitely an area our family and friends want to visit again.

We spent three unbelievable months in a magnificent villa with sweeping panoramic views and gorgeous sunsets. From the very private bedrooms, to the large inviting pool, and then the marvellous kitchen, fully equipped with every gadget imaginable, it was extremely comfortable.

The owners Ione and Bob were wonderful hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed. We got to know Ben and Cydia who manage the property. They are warm and charming people and could not do enough for us. The housekeeper and groundskeeper were exceptional and kept this large villa in beautiful condition.

You will not be disappointed with this stunning, easily accessible villa. We highly recommend it.

Let me begin by saying that while the pictures on this website are beautiful, they really cannot convey the true beauty of this home and location. Our breath was collectively taken away when we arrived to Los Portales. The house itself was immaculate and lovely, with interesting and beautiful art throughout with beautiful furnishings. The beds were confortable, the master baths spacious and luxurious, the downstairs entertainment room was fantastic, and, though rarely used, the entertainment system was great! The kitchen was well stocked and there was wireless internet access.

The feeling of welcome we received from the caretaker, Ben, was fantastic. He made us feel right at home and is the kind of person that we wished/wanted to hang out with more had we not taken a side trip up north. Even the phone call from Bob made us feel as though we were important visitors and all their advice was very helpful. On site is a great notebook that has been assembled with all the important information you would need for a great stay.

Our children were thrilled to explore the forest surrounding the house only to discover Howler Monkeys, Whiteface Monkeys, a Sloth, various frogs, butterflies (including the elusive morpho) and other various birds and wildlife RIGHT on the property! We literally had NO complaints.

I should add that this property is minutes away from World Class surfing, fishing, whitewater rafting, hiking and wildlife viewing (if the viewing on the property isn't enough for you!)

All in all, we didn't have enough time in paradise, and hope to come back and visit again soon!
