Playa del Carmen is a 40 minute drive from Cancun Airport, heading South on Highway 307, a well-maintained four-lane route directly to. Rent a car or we can help set you up with transportation and grocery shopping on your way. You can also take Taxis, communal vans or Bus to Playa. Our condo la Meridian -109 is located just 500 feet from the ocean at the 'North End' of Playa near 'Coco Beach' on Calle 40th.

More things to do: Scuba diving and snorkeling in the area is world class and can be enjoyed by beginners and experienced divers alike. Cave (cenotes) divers are also very popular. Boating, sailing, Kayaking, parasailing and sport and deep sea-fishing are among the other water activities you can enjoy. On land, there are several golf courses nearby and public tennis courts.

Horseback riding facilities can be found just off Highway 307, as you approach Playa. Tour companies along 5th Avenue offer day trips to the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza, Coba and Tulum, or you can take the local bus. You can also spend the day in Cozumel - ferries run hourly between Playa and the island. Swim with the Dolphins at the Marina in Puerto Aventuras or Xcaret, which includes exciting eco-park water adventures.

Golf:

For golf enthusiasts there is the exceptional Playacar Golf Course which is as challenging as it is beautiful. Renowned architect Robert Van Hagge designed the 18-hole, par 72 course. There's a smaller course at

Puerto Aventuras. Ask for details. The PGA will be in Playa in February of 2007!

Beautiful Beach, Great Location

I just returned from an amazingly relaxing week in Playa del Carmen with three friends. We stayed at La Meridian and were very impressed by it- it's new, clean, and the complex is beautiful. The location was so convenient- a block walk to the beach and a block walk to 5th avenue, the main drag, full of great restaurants. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation, this is definitely the place to stay.

Also, best beach I've been to in Mexico- absolutely gorgeous, and there is a public beach club a little ways down the beach where you can rent chairs for the day for $2.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

Amazing Place!

We had a wonderful time on our vac in Playa del Carmen. My husband already said he wants to return to your condo again next year. Our kids loved the rooftop pool. The beach was gorgeous and just a short walk that only took a couple of minutes. Everything was within walking distance. We wanted for nothing...it was all there. The housekeeper keeps things spotless. Thanks SO much. What an amazing place with amazing people!
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

We are home safe and sound and want to thank you and all the staff of
the Meridian for
making our stay so easy, enjoyable and comfortable. You have a
beautiful location, so close to the beach,
and perfect for strolling on the Avenida Quinta in the evenings. We appreciate the water service, the guard at night, the divine pool
(with ocean breeze!),
transportation service, proximity to the Mega grocery store, plethora
of taxis and internet
cafes, and unbelievably beautiful weather you provided us. !Puro placer!
