we are located only 45 min from the Florence airport and roughly 1 hrs from the Pisa airport. Alternative its only 1,5 hrs to Bologna airport - Rome and Milan airport are approx. 3 to 4 hrs. drive - arrival with train to Florence or siena main station no problem. closed train station (15 min) is Castellina Scalo or Poggibonsi (30 min)
Cultural sights - Trekking - Biking :
Poderi Val Verde is located only 5 min from the famous town of Castellina in Chianti with many restaurants of all levels, grocery stores, super market, farmacy and all other necessary shops. Only some 35 min from Florence, 25 min from Siena, 40 min from San Gimignano, 1 hrs from Lucca, 1,5 hrs from Cortona, Montalcino and Montepulciano our location for excursions etc,. is perfect. Even a days trip to Rome or Venice (by bus or train) is no problem.
Since we are situated in the middle of the nature resort 'Oasis del Chianti' trekking and mountain biking possibilities are more then perfect - various marked trails from 1 to 6 hrs. are accessable directly from your accommodation - we also offer guided tours with winetasting and lunch break - Euro 35/pers. - expenses for lunch or winetasting are extra
Biking in the Chianti - demanding but rewarding - we gladly help you with maps and advise

Dont miss our halfday cookery courses of typical local food. Take a day off from sightseeing and hike with us through wineyards, olivegroves, forests and maddows - taste some wine in one of the famous wineries along the country roads, stopover in a restrant for a coffee or lunch - breath the clean Tuscan air and let your heard fly. We promise you an unforgetable day!
On arrival day we offer our guests a typical Tuscan style welcome diner (Euro 29/pers., children less) which consists of a 4course dinner or buffet incl. standard beverages - breakfast (Euro 7,00/pers./day), cooks services (Euro 25/hrs. or menue based) or maid service (Euro 12/hrs) can be requested - all services - must be booked and paid at least 8 weeks ahead
