Magical Cordes Sur Ciel: All our guests will visit the medieval city of Cordes, dating from 1222, it almost seems like a film set - it has retained all of its historic charm and has not been spoiled by 21st century life! Here you will find cobbled streets and tiny alleyways nestling on this hillside. More than 50 workshops still produce their arts and crafts and you will also come across several museums depicting life as it was in the 13th century. If you are here mid July, you can experience the amazing Medeival Event when over a period of 3 days Cordes really does return to 13th century life with the whole village dressing in costume and numerous events such as jousting, singing, music, juggling and finally a grand medieval banquet!

Activities Around Cordes: You won't have to travel far to experience many types of outdoor activities such as tennis, fishing, waterparks, cycling and hiking. You can't return home without spending at least one day on the Aveyron River in a canoe! The kids will love it and adults will appreciate the spectacular scenery of the great Aveyron Gorge! For the 2008 season we are also offering our guests the chance to experience the great food and wine of the Tarn region. We have a renowned food and wine expert on hand to take you out for a day to sample the delicious Gaillac wine and taste the mouth-watering regional food. A small fee is payable locally for this memorable experience! The Tarn offers a wealth of historical chateaux, towns, cathedrals, museums and bastide villages - all waiting for you to explore and experience.

Golf: There are at least 3 lovely golf clubs within 30 minutes drive from La Gaudane. Daily rates and bookings available. Complimentary golf clubs available.
