Photos and Description of the Gaylord vacation cottage rental 3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom 1 half bathroom sleeps 6

The cottage has recently been renovated, with new flooring and paint inside with new siding, windows and a deck outside. The cottage is on Heart Lake, one of Michigan's deepest lakes, it's an all sports lake that's well stocked with fish, ideal for swimming and water skiing. There is a 7:30 pm no wake curfew, making the evenings quiet and perfect for fishing or a slow cruise around this quite little lake. In the winter Gaylord is known for down hill and X country skiing and snowmobiling. In front of the cottage is one of the major Michigan snowmobile trails that's groomed (never enough) 3 to 4 times a day. Inside there's a washer and dryer, dishwasher and everything you'd expect. Upstairs sleeps 4 and the master bedroom sleeps 2. The small town of Waters is 1 mile south, you'll find the Keg Bar and the Hill Top Restaurant both are nice. Gaylord, with Kohl's Walmart and Starbucks is 5 miles north.You won't be disappointed

Gaylord is in the heart of upper lower Michigan. The Big Mac Bridge, and Mackinaw Island huge Tourist destinations are located only 50 miles away, and easily reached from our location. Sometimes called the Golf Mecca...Gaylord is surrounded by over 30 golf courses. The world renown Ausable River begins only 2 miles away, and great canoeing is 20 minutes down the road. Elk and wildlife viewing is easy, either at Gaylords Elk Park, or you can try your luck in The Pigeon River State Forest.

Snowmobiling: All major brands of snowmobiles are represented with franchises in Gaylord. Parts service and rentals are all available within 6 miles of the cottage. A major loop of the Michigan snowmobile trail system is 100 feet away from the front door.

Down Hill Skiing: Boyne mountain, Boyne Highlands, Tree Tops, Schuss, Shanty Creek, and the Otsego Club are all within a short to reasonable drive.

Cross Country Skiing: Forbush, Pine Barrin, Aspen Park and the Pigeon River are all within a stones throw of the cottage. Maps and rental equipment is available.

We rented this house over Christmas and it was perfect!
Driveway was big enough for van, truck, snowmobile trailer. We were able to bring our two dogs and it worked our great. Snowmobile trail is right accross the street, very convenient. Sledding hill close by also.
We will definately rent this house in the future.
