from home. It's location is superb! The owner was friendly, gracious and cooperative.

Staying in your lovely flat in Paris made my trip to your city a remarkable adventure. It is the perfect alternative to a hotel and helped me feel like I was a true resident of my favorite international city. Your attention to detail, the lovely decor, the cleanliness, and the spacious rooms made my time there so comfortable.

Just a note to say how a great time we've had at your appartment. For us it was the perfect house. Central, safe, inspiring, beautifully decorated and with a special bedroom for our son Mick ( who plays the whole time metro with his train now)

I would like to say that we had a wonderful time in Paris, and we really enjoyed our stay at your apartment.
We can not say enough about the apartment. We really feel that for the price we got a great deal. Great location, great decor, and with views of the Eiffel Tower and the Arch deTriumphe from the roof. What more could you want? Thanks again for being so easy to work with. We look forward to staying with you next time we are in Paris.

Your place is comfortable, extremely clean and well-equipped, and cozy.
We loved the location, which was both easily accessible to the Champs-Elysees and the Metro, and very quiet at night to allow for sleep. Your chart of all the local shops was extremely useful. Thanks for your attention to all the logistical details, and your kindness during our stay.
We will not hesitate to recommend your apartment to others visiting the City of Light! Sincerely.

Just a quick note to say thanks for your hospitality while we enjoyed your flat.
It was so great to have a real 'home' base so close to everything. The Paris Metro is really easy to use and we found all of the people very friendly.
It is very comfortable and we will certainly contact you when we come to Paris again.

My job is lighting product designer, and I work for myself. So
I can keep enough time to rent my flat, since 8 years now. My English is not perfect, but after travelling in USA,China, Japan Russia, India etc, I made some progress...
With the picture of my family you understand why my flat is not big enough to leave there all year. But for the story I lived there more than 10 years so, I had enough time to make it very comfortable.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 1985
a flat near Champs elysée is an unique adress. You are sure to find there a lot of bar , restaurant, shopping, cinema open until late and the week end also that is not usual in paris.
just at the corner, 4 subway lines.it's Direct to Eiffeil Tower, Opéra, Montmartre, Louvres, Place des Vosges, Iles Saint-louis, etc...
During the rare week-end during the year when I have no renter, we came here like tourist in my Flat. My children love this place, with the beedroom under the roof with no noise.
It's a very clear flat with a lot of sun inside. with the open roof in the living room it give you a nice feeling of big space inside.
I wanted also to avoid convertible armchair that' not very convinient. There you have all the space's bed upstairs, you have enought place for your suits and suitcase, so like this the living room is always keep clean
Very nice place. Comfortable and well maintained with everything you would need. Makes one feel like a real Paris resident. Philippe is an excellent host who put together vey thorough notebooks on how everything worked. Very accessible to Paris sites. View of Eiffel Tower from loft bedroom. Not for anyone who has problem with stairs. Access to sleeping area a bit of a challenge.
We recently had the pleasure of staying in Philippe's beautiful flat. Everything was just as it is described on this site and by what Philippe had said. First and foremost, for getting out and enjoying Paris, you cannot beat the location. To start the day just a block from a major Metro stop was incredible. But to END the day by getting off the Metro and being just steps away was even better -- especially with little kids.
Aside from the location, the space and layout was great. There were 5 of us total, and we had ample sleeping space. The dining area was perfect, as was the sitting area. Not that we were there that often. But it still made it worth our while.
Philippe as a rental owner is impeccable. He had directions for everything laid out perfectly, and he walked us through it all and was so easy to work with. (As a vrbo owner myself, I appreciate it and took notes!) He even pointed out toys for my little boy, which was sweet.
The only negative about the location (which has NOTHING to do with the flat itself) is that the Champs Elysee is very touristy, so we didn't find those quaint, "Parisian" bakeries, fromageries and little cute shops nearby. But that's really a very minor thing.
All in all, kudos to Philippe!
I went to Paris for the 2015 Paris Marathon and stayed at this apartment.
1- The location: better impossible. You have a Metro station half a block away, groceries about 2 blocks and the best is that you have Champs Elysee around the corner.
2- Apartment: it has everything you can possibly need on a vacation...fully equiped...and has many little good details that make it even better. The owner has instructions with pictures to use absolutly everything in the apartment. Has Wi-Fi...a computer...washer...dryer...cable TV...toaster...microwave...fridge...freezer...everything.
3- The owner: I have used VRBO 4 times and Philipe is the only owner who has personally recieved me and showed me the apartment. He is very nice, and explained everthing about the apartment and how to get around in Paris. Five stars for the owner!!!
In general I give it a FIVE STAR review!!!!
Philippe's apartment was perfect for our nine day stay in Paris for my 40th birthday. It was great to be able to leave the the building and walk only 100 feet to see the Arc de Triomphe! The apartment is only a two minute walk to the nearest Metro stop, which we used daily to travel to the many historical attractions we visited.
The apartment fit five of us comfortably, and there are three skylights on the second floor of the apartment that allow you to see the top half of the Eiffel Tower. The apartment included a small but functional kitchen with plates, utensils and other kitchen tools, a living room with a TV with French and English channels and a small but clean toilet and separate bathroom (towel warmer included). The second floor of the apartment has room for five to sleep comfortably, although the ceiling is slanted and a bit low. Watch your head!
Philippe included instructions throughout the apartment with directions on how to use the washer/dryer, TV, skylights and toilet (different than U.S. toilets). He met us at the apartment the day we got there to show us around the place. Philippe was responsive, not pushy, to my e-mails about renting his apartment.
The only two negatives about renting Philippe's apartment are the two levels of stairs necessary to reach the apartment (the small elevator goes to the third floor) and the wooden stairs that connect the first and second floors. We had three people 60+ in our group, and they didn't have a problem with the staris, especially after we walked around Paris so much most of the days we were there. The only other issue with the apartment was the slanted ceiling on the apartment's second floor.
I would definitely rent Phillipe's property again if I make it back to Paris and would recommend it to any friends I know who travel to Paris.
This apartment was perfect for our first trip to Paris. Convenient to the Metro line #1 (which gets you or leads you to anywhere in the city.) The loft was well equipped and easy to use and stay in (we had 5). Ladder stairs up to the loft would be a challenge for those not sure of foot or balance, and two flights up to 5 (lift goes to 3) you should know about. We were absolutely happy with the accommodations and our host. You would not go wrong letting this apartment for the week.
We booked the apartment for 8 nights in mid-December for our stay in Paris on the first leg of a 3 week trip in Europe. It was heavenly! The owner, Philippe, was terrific! Very responsive and friendly. Here's my "hail of bullets" for others looking for a fantastic place to stay!
The apartment is a block and a half from the Arc de Triomphe. I can't adequately explain how breath taking it is to step out the front door of the courtyard and see that gorgeous monument! Definitely go up in the tower - lots of steps to the top, but an elevator is available if you need it. And perhaps it was the weather or time of year but no petition girls at all.
Equally impressive are the massive wooden doors (very secure) that lead from the street to a lovely cobblestone courtyard. At the friend of the courtyard you enter the building and take the tiniest but not claustrophobic elevator to the 3rd floor, and then you climb two flights of stairs to the apartment. Just enough to work off those croissants!
The Charles de Gaulle Etiole metro station is on the same side of the street just before you cross over to the Arc. From here you have easy access to the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower even heading to Versailles! Easy and comfortable.
The apartment: Fabulous!!!
Very comfortable, we'll equipped and layed out. You'll feel like you are truly returning home at the end of the day. Nice deep tub with shower - great for a bubble bath! Terrific hair dryer mounted on the wall. Comfy couch and seats, power strip with converter and US plugs in the living room, remote controlled lighting and we'll illustrated and annotated guides to using all appliances and electronics.
Up the stairs to the loft bedrooms. The stairs are somewhat steep but we're used to scrambling up much steeper and narrower stairs from the saloon to the cockpit on our sailboat. A nice open landing that the kids used for playing leads to two bedrooms. One with a double bed and leads to a cozy alcove with a twin bed. Our daughters loved sleeping there and set up a rotation schedule on their own so that they each got to sleep in the alcove. The other side has a lovely queen bed and a computer available for use in case you dob't have devices to take advantage of the awesome free wifi. Both bedrooms have doors for privacy and skylights so that you can see the Eiffel Tower twinkling at night!
