3rd Generation La Jollan and San Diego Natives. We love our town and want you to relax and have a peaceful, fun time while you are visiting. Our place is perfect for visiting professors and their families since you can say here with one or no car and still get to shopping and the university or even La Jolla with the bus. Tennis courts and pool make the stay relaxing for family and friends. Ocean breezes through the living room windows and masterbed room have made our stays there enjoyable and we have always found the location to be quiet. The views of the greenbelts make it seem more like a private home and less like an apartment. We have always felt refreshed after our stay and hope you will too!!

SO CLOSE TO EVERYTHING! THE LOCATION OF THE UNIT IS PRIME. VIEW OF THE GREENBELT, POOL AND TENNIS COURTS IT IS LIKE A PRIVATE CLUB SINCE THE COURTS ARE USUALLY EMPTY!!! WALKING TO EVERYTHING WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME AS I LIKE TO LEAVE THE CAR IN THE GARAGE WHENEVER I CAN. I CAN SHOP FOR JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING OR GO TO THE MOVIES OR EVEN CHOOSE A PLACE TO EAT OUT PLUS THE TRADER JOE'S IS GREAT AT THIS LOCATION AS IS THE WHOLE FOODS AND THE DIFFERENT COFFEE PLACES.
Whenever we have stayed the place is always so peaceful. The breeze from the ocean that comes through the hills and the central location between North County and San Diego makes getting around town easy. We are near golfing and beaches and great shopping as well as close to the village of La Jolla for strolling. If we want to leave the car we can walk to some fine dining as well as the movies and shopping for food and fun!
With our family of 2 adults and 2 young children), this vacation rental was perfect. Our kids were young enough that they shared a twin and we didn't have to use the cot, although the cot looked fine.
I loved having the kids on the same floor with me, and I loved having a bathroom designated for the kids and another for us parents (and a powder room also on the main floor). Accommodations were modest but for us were perfect.
We played tennis and walked to the nearby park quite often. We also walked to Starbucks or Trader Joes almost everyday. I loved that it was such a quiet and safe walk no matter what time of day.
My husband and I both work from home, and found it very easy to do so by taking our laptops to Starbucks or working on the deck.
The owner was wonderfully professional and attentive. She responded quickly and kindly to our questions (even during Christmas break) and was very thoughtful.
We hope to stay there again.
On my arrival I was greeted by the owner (with fresh flowers) and shown through the townhouse. It provided everything I needed and hoped for, very comfortable and spacious (plenty of room for visiting family and grandchildren) in a lovely peaceful garden setting. The location was excellent, in a quiet suburban street yet within a few minutes walk of public transport and good shopping centres. Also close to motorway and major arterial roads. For me, this was a home away from home. I felt safe and enjoyed walking around the area. The owners were kind and helpful and responded quickly to my requests. The minute I walked into the townhouse I felt at ease and couldn’t wait to unpack and settle in. A wonderful start to my holiday, first time in San Diego, first time in USA. There were no disappointments with my accommodation, I couldn’t have wished for better.
My husband and I have very good memories of our month-long stay in this condo. The photos were a good preview: it was tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped throughout. Friendly welcome, and the owner was quick to respond to queries. Its location in La Jolla Village instead of "downtown" worked very well for us; the neighborhood is lovely and also quiet, and offers easy access to major roads to the north and to San Diego. And of course the weather was wonderful, we spent much time visiting sites on the coast. Our favorite tourist "surprise," apart from the birthing seals, was the Scripps Aquarium.
Nice and roomy, albeit a bit dated. Plenty of room for a family of 4. It is a 3 level town home, with fairly steep stairs. Large 2 car garage with washer/dryer on the bottom level, Kitchen/dining/living room on the1st level, and 2 bedrooms and 2 baths on the upper level. Though the unit is fairly well maintained and kept cleaned, and the bed is quite comfortable, the bedding is a bit worn. The sofa could probably use some new pillows as well. The kitchen is very complete, with all the pots and pans, cooking and eating utensils, more than what one would need on a vacation. The internet is only available in the living/dining area through a direct ethernet cable, no wireless connect. However, the owner/agent is super nice and addresses all the issues of concern, and very accommodating with our schedule, and gave us an extra day of stay for a 2 week rental. It is a comfortable place for a long stay, has a nice deck for barbeque, with a tennis court and swimming pool right outside. It is also very convenient and within walking distance to shopping, very close to I-5 and UCSD. The lease stipulates that the security deposit is refundable 30 days after departure, which is a bit longer than necessary, as it shouldn't take 30 days to assess if there is damage to the property.
It was perfect.
We were travelling from very,very far with two children; the moment we set foot in the house it felt like home. The space is extremely well distributed. Comfy, pleasant rooms and furniture - good vibes generally. The master bedroom is so much larger than it looks in the picture; the table infront of the kitchen too was so much larger than it looked - it seated the 4 of us plus 4 guests. Tons of closet space everywhere, two full bathrooms plus one half one downstairs for guests or for lazy/spoiled family members. The kids' room was a nice surprise because there were no pictures on the listing. Great garage with plenty of storage space for suitcases, etc.
The complex is great: green, quiet but friendly- it felt safe and cared for. The view is on the tennis courts and the very well kept swimming pool. Informal and relaxed use of the amenities.
It's literally 1 minute away from a great supermarket and mall. I coudn't believe my luck. It's less than 10 minutes away from the best S.D. beaches.
The owners were friendly and quick in satisfying a couple of specific extra requests I made during our month long stay. Fresh roses upon arrival - lovely.
The patio could maybe use an awning or a sun umbrella.
We highly reccomend the house and we would most definitely want to be guests again should we return to San Diego (which we loved!).
