Lake Gaston Hideaway is a phenomenal house. Located in the South West 'Quad' of the lake in Harbor Landing, an exclusive gated community of lake front homes in Macon, NC. With 6+ bedrooms and approximately 4200 Square Feet of living area on 3 levels, there is plenty of room for everyone in your group to be comfortable. There is room to get together, and room to get away. It is well appointed with quality furnishings and everything you will need for a fun and relaxing vacation at Lake Gaston. Hideaway has a striking main lake location with panoramic views. There are decks and patios at the house, as well as a huge boat house with sun deck for your lake living. We have owned Hideaway since it was new in the summer of 2005, and we use it as our family lake home, as well as renting it out, so we take a personal pride in making sure that it stays in top shape.

Lake Gaston is truly one of the outstanding lakes in the country! It's great for swimming, boating, fishing, jet skiing, water skiing, sailing and much more! It is approximately 34 miles long, one and one half miles wide at the widest part, has over 350 miles of shoreline and over 20,000 surface acres of high quality water. One of the great features of the lake is that because it is used for generating hydroelectric power, it must be kept within 1 foot of it's normal level by regulation. Because of this, even when surrounding lakes are low due to drought conditions, Lake Gaston is at or very near its normal levels. Lake Gaston is conveniently located on the border between North Carolina and Virginia between routes I-85 on the West and I-95 on the East. It is about a 1.5 hour drive South from Richmond, VA, and about the same North from Raleigh, NC.

Wonderful family gathering spot!

The setting was beautiful. An enormous deck over the double boat slips was a wonderful gathering spot for our extended group of 14. Enjoyed sunbathing, swimming and beautiful sunsets.
The kitchen was well equipped to cook and serve to our large group. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Beds/ accommodations were excellent!
