Property was not clean. BBQ grill was really dirty. We stayed here before and really loved lt but the casita seems to have been neglected. The electricity went out. There were bugs. No Internet access. Water pressure at night was so low that showering was impossible. We asked the property manager to help us wi th the DVD and he said that he would but never did return. This was very disappointing because we love the location of this little place. It is quiet and cozy. But this last time was really a turn off. Maybe the owners/managers can do a bit more to bring it up to a moderate standard of accommodation. We are not that picky but this was a bit hard to handle even for us!
Owner's Response: We are baffled by this review. Our guests were in residence from 7/23 - 7/29. They called 7/26 to report that the electricity was out. We immediately went up to check and discovered a large number of electrical appliances were being operated simultaneously causing the breaker to turn off. They acknowledged their error which was not an issue for us. The problem was remedied with good nature and a pleasant exchange of greetings and visiting. When asked how everything else was, they mentioned a cable for the DVD player was missing and that all else was lovely. There was no mention of bugs, dirty grill, internet problems, water pressure. They went on to rave about Casita Bella being perfect for them and that this was their second visit and they hoped to come back for a month this autumn. We left saying we would return with a replacement DVD cable that a prior guest probably took by mistake. On the way into town we received word that a family member's house had been lost in the Colorado Springs fire. With that news we regretfully lost sight of delivering a new cable and prepared and left for Colorado in support of the family crisis. We sincerely apologize for this oversight. Upon returning to Taos, guests had departed and caretaker reported the bed had been broken and that she had fixed it. It was of no consequence and we would not have considered charging a repair fee. In lieu of this mystery, we invite you to Google Taos Casita Bella to read unsolicited reviews from previous guests. Sincerely, Paulette Jacobs, Owner
