Great Time at Sandestin

My friends and I rented this property for Spring Break in Destin. Though none of us were over 25, the owner allowed us to stay for the week. We are a group of college students that had a lot of difficulty getting someone to rent to us when this finally came through!!
The house is WONDERFUL! Large bedrooms, lots of sleeping area, grill in the back yard, screened-in porch, second floor balcony overlooking the golf course/bay/lagoon, large refrigerator, and a big hot water heater!! I can't complain at all about the surrounding area; it is quiet, aesthetically pleasing, and overall very relaxing. The house has 4 bikes that we rode around in the morning. It is a great place to go for a bike ride!! This being said, the golfing in the area is not paid for by your stay. This seemed obvious to us, but don't expect that going in. Also, if you are going around spring break when it is cooler, then there is no access to a heated pool. There is however a nice community pool shared by a small number of houses that is great for lounging if it were warm enough.
If you are interested in golfing, the course is great! Or you can just watch golfers from the back porch while looking over the bay. What ever works for you. Also, the house is relatively close to any other activity you would want to participate in. It is about 10 minutes from Wal-Mart and 15-20 minutes into downtown Destin where most of the action is.
It is about a 45 minute walk to the beach, so we drove every day. You have access to the Sandestin private beach about 2 miles from the house where there is ample parking for Sandestin guests. It was VERY convenient not having to battle traffic or parking at all! On the beach you can rent things from kayaks, umbrellas, sports balls, etc. in addition to the boogie boards and other beach equipment already at the house.
All-in-all, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I would definitely recommend this location!! We had a great time!!
