The home has stunning 360 degree views, crowned by magnificent mountains and colorful sunsets. There is world-class hiking out the back door! This is a wonderful home with every comfort for guests. Taos is a unique vacation destination in the American Southwest, with fantastic restaurants, art galleries, museums, white water rafting and fly fishing on the Rio Grande, skiing, hiking and biking, and the Taos Pueblo with native culture and architecture to experience.

  • There are two bedrooms on the main level. One has a queen bed and twin daybed, with doors opening onto the patio with hot tub. The second bedroom has lovely wooded views and a king bed. Upstairs, there is a 900 square foot master suite with wrap around porch, and a king bed with an enormous skylight where you can fall asleep under the stars. The master suite has a sunken jetted tub and steam shower, a seating area with fireplace and a large flat wide screen TV with DVD and cable. The home also has a queen sofa bed in the family room, a baby crib and a queen air mattress.

This is the perfect spot for a family party or gathering of friends! Alto Salto has radiant floor heating and is cool in the summer at 8200 feet altitude. There are fans if you need them.

Ski: Alto Salto is approximately 9 miles from Taos Ski Mountain, a world class ski resort. Taos has one of the best ski schools in North America and has full day care services for kids. Known for its challenging black diamond terrain, Taos also has many groomed blue and green runs and excellent food.

Golf: Taos has a very beautiful and challenging 18 hole, full service golf course and clubhouse on the south side of town that welcomes visitors.

The entire property is beautiful. The house is comfortable, open and spacious with unexpected luxuries like original artwork from Taos artists. My husband and I stayed for a week with friends who had kids and we had a fantastic time. The views are stunning and there is hiking right out the back door. You will want to sit on the patio forever with a cool drink and enjoy the fresh breeze, and I do not ever remember seeing so many stars at night. This place is truly spectacular and the nearby town, Arroyo Seco, has fun artisan shops and local eateries. We will definitely stay here again.
