Lots to Offer in This Little Adirondack Gem!

If you are looking for an intimate, romantic, charming, and very comfortable get away in a beautiful and majestic setting, I invite you to consider the Garden Cottage in Lake Placid. We happened to visit in November when there was just enough snow to add ambiance, and it was just cold enough to take advantage of the grand stone fireplace. Though compact, the cottage is well-designed and well-organized, and very, very tidy - perfect for two! The king sized bed is luxurious, and we wondered where such wonderful pillows could be found! The lack of foliage in late fall provided an unencumbered view of the lake, and truly there is purple mountain majesty to be found in the Adirondacks! The cottage is close to shopping, fine dining, and the winter Olympic sites, and offers a haven for rest and relaxation in addition to, or instead of the local attractions. The Garden Cottage exceeded my expectations, and was perfect for the romantic long weekend I had planned.
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review your last visit to the Garden Cottage. I stay there when I can slip in for a weekend just to experience the serenity that it provides. I sleep better there than I do anywhere else!
As owner and an interior designer, I wish to offer an ambiance both inside and outside, that affords my guests all the pleasures and expectations that a Cottage in the Adirondack woods can be. I strive to offer the amenities that my guests have come to expect--fully appointed kitchen, ample firewood, Weber Gas grill, a European styled bathroom, washer and dryer, feather bed, hypoallergenic feather pillows, high count sheets, maid service on request, summer gardens worthy of a postcard, winter plowing and shoveling, HBO, DVD, CD player and high speed internet connection.
Staying in the Garden Cottage is like being a guest in a luxury suite found anywhere in the world! It is truly a Cottage for All Seasons!
Come and see for yourself...
