This townhome was exactly as described and SPECTACULAR! We were four adults in our 50s; two single siblings and a third sibling with his wife. The couple had the master bedroom and bath, and the other two shared the other bedroom. Because there were THREE full baths, each of us had a separate bathroom, which is always great. The elevator was a big plus because we were able to have our 80+-year-old parents over for meals without having to worry about them navigating the stairs. The kitchen was comfortable and well equipped, so making meals for six -- and cleaning up -- was easy.
I have rented many homes over the years, and I can honestly say that this home is THE nicest -- cleanest, most well appointed (linens, an abundance of towels, Italian soaps, etc) -- I have ever stayed in. So much nicer that three motel rooms, and much LESS than the cost of three hotel rooms for a week. And before and after meals, the living room was quite comfortable for sitting and chatting. The unit had a lot of light, also, which was also very appealing.
The unit had a tankless water heater, and that was also impressive. These heat the water for use as needed, and are common in Europe, but not here. With all the showers, dishwasher runs, dish washing, and laundry, there was never a shortage of hot water; this is a problem I've had in the past. So, I am now considering getting a tankless, on-demand water heater.
The roof terrace was lovely; we spent several evenings looking out at the Gulf of Mexico, and it looks exactly like the picture on this website. The lounge chairs were even extremely comfortable.
The location of this unit, on Canal Road, a block back and parallel to Beach Road, made traffic noise much less noticeable. Also, you could easily walk, within a few minutes, to either the beach or Siesta Village.
All in all, this place was a real find for us, and I would have no problem recommending it to anyone, including friends. The owner was very responsive when we had questions, and even dropped off some coasters for us after we mentioned we could find none for the glass tables.
This place is definitely NOT for children with the open spaces and glass-topped tables. The description is very accurate, and there were no surprises. It is a lovely, wonderful place for adults, convenient to everything, incredibly clean, and extremely comfortable.
