The living area is spacious, with beautiful floors and a tiled kitchen. Ceiling fans help keep the house cool, and the owners have thought about your comfort by providing a TV, DVD, VCR, and stereo with CD and cassette, along with a collection of video and audio tapes. The home has high-speed Internet, and there is a washer/dryer. The master bedroom offers a king bed, the oceanfront bedroom has a queen bed, and the living room has a double futon. There are two baths, an en suite master bath and a second bath with a Jacuzzi tub. As an extra touch, the house was built to be handicap accessible and wheelchair accessible, with a ramp to the front door, wide interior doors, and roll-in shower.

The nearest snorkeling or swimming is at Kapoho ponds, about 20 minutes away, and Ahalanui State Park (thermally heated warm pond) about 30 minutes away. About an hour to Volcanoes National Park. Farmer's markets nearby in Pahoa, Keaau, and Hilo. Other tourist attractions can be found by day trips around the island.
