Luxury 3 Bedroom 2 Bathroom villa, built 2004 situated in the quiet gated community of Masters Reserve within Lely Resort Golf and Country Club. Furnished to a high standard with private Heated Pool and Hot Tub on extended covered Lanai overlooking the lake. South facing for maximum sunshine with great room, dining area and master bedroom all having direct access to the pool and lanai. Fantastic for outdoor dining and BBQ's. Lely has three superb Golf courses two of which are public courses with the Flamingo Clubhouse for lunch or a drink which is within walking distance of the villa. The Flamingo Island Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and is rated in the top 5 public courses in the USA, while the Mustang was designed by Lee Trevino was seventh in a list of most played courses in the Goft Digest in May 2002. Access to the 20,000 sq ft Players Club and Spa with lagoon pool, clay tennis courts, basketball courts, theatre room, billiard room and state of the art fitness centre is available for a $250 transfer fee plus tax . from early 2005. The Villa is approximately 10 minutes from Downtown Naples and 10 minutes from the beaches.

Things to do in Naples: Naples has a wealth of shops from the designer shops of 5th Avenue and 3rd Street to the shopping outlets to purchase a brand name bargain. There are speciality and antique shops and many sidewalk cafes, bistros and gourmet delis for lunch and an endless array of fine restaurants for dinner. Venetian Village on Venetian Bay is worth a visit for lunch overlooking the water or to purchase that special gift. Tin City offers something different for shopping or take a trolley tour of Naples. There are many art galleries theatres and museums. Visit the Caribbean Gardens and Zoo populated by animals from apes to Zebras. Spend lazy days on the seven miles of white sandy beaches and watch spectacular sunsets. Visit Tigertail Beach on Marco Island just 10 minutes away where you can relax and watch dolphins play just off shore or take part in the countless watersports on offer.

Golf: Lely has 3 championship Golf Courses 2 of which are public courses. The Flamingo Island Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and is rated on the top 5 public courses in the USA while the Mustang was designed by Lee Trevino and was seventh in a list of most played courses in the Golf Digest in May 2002. As soon as we arrived, the 1st thing that impressed us was how clean and well presented this home was. No clutter in the kitchen and piles of books or magazines lying around, everything was tidied into cupboards and drawers. Even by the poolsided, things left by previous renters were out of sight in the garage.
As this home is maintained by the owners and not by an agent, it was great not to have to drive to an agents office to collect keys when arriving late, then return to the agents office to sign agreements etc. It was also great to be able to control the pool or spa heating from within the villa if you needed it, without waiting on agents to come and switch on heating and charging you an additional cost.
Situated in a good location, it was only a short drive to supermarkets and local attractions.
We stayed here right in the middle of the year, when the sun was at it's highest, so although the pool area did have sun for all day, perhaps earlier or later in the year when the sun is a bit lower, the pool would get sun into the early evening and maybe those famous floridean sunsets.
We are sorry not to be able to recommend any restaurants etc, as we didn't visit any. We enjoyed buying lovely food from the local supermarkets, staying home to cook, and enjoy each others company over a nice meal a bottle of local wine.
On a final note, thank you to John & Julia for renting us your Naples home, and thank you for being so helpful and informative before, during and after our holiday.
