Casa Bomberos is a delight. We were a group of 2 families, with 4 adults and 5 kids. The pool kept the kids happy and the bar next to the pool kept us happy. The kitchen is well stocked with all kinds of pots and pans - even large pots for pasta or maybe rooster stew for 9 hungry people! The proximity to the great stuff in Rincon was awesome - great food and great surfing and great beaches to just hang out. Puerto Rico is awesome and Rincon and Casa Bomberos is a "must" for your bucket list! Thanks so much for the memories!
Casa Bomberos was completely awesome! I've been going to Rincon for the last 12 years and this was my favorite spot. The house itself is beautiful from the bedrooms to the kitchens to the bathrooms. Hanging out around the pool with your own private bar will make you feel like royalty. The location of the house was great too. You're close to everything but at the same time feel like you're in a jungle retreat. The owners/manager left us to do our own thing but we're only a phone call away if we needed something. All 10 people in our party were totally psyched with no complaints. I will definitely be going back
Casa Bomberos is a great place to do just that. The house is located in a beautiful and lush tropical forest area but just 5 minutes from the beach. This 6 bedroom house has multiple balconies and terraces perfect to enjoy the outdoors. The swimming pool and tiki bar area is the perfect hang out place. The house is fully equipped and very well maintained. The gardens are beautifully kept and full of tropical fruit trees. We made friends with a local cat we named Vivi and the sound of the Coqui (local small frog) was music to our ears. During our stay the town was celebrating the Fiestas Patronales( local festival in celebration of Saint Rose of Lima) and we were able to enjoy local foods, music, the religious procession and fireworks! Once in Rincon you have to visit Kaplash (best sea food turnovers, great service and incredible views), La Fiebre Rest were we tried “Mofongo Relleno” and Villa Cofresi ( try their Coco Loco with 3 kind of rums, cream of chocolate, milk and cinnamon).
It is very easy to get to the house and Elier was very helpful. There is a bakery very close to the house were you can get fresh bread and pastries. If you have the time, remember to visit the light house and dome area. There is a very nice lady that sells beautiful local jewelry.
We will definitely be back to Rincon and Casa Bomberos.
Casa bomberos is awesome! It's secluded enough to spend some quality time with your guests but you also have scuba diving, beaches, bars and food within a 10 minute drive. Although who needs to go to a bar when you have one downstairs? We enjoyed it every night. Elier, the property manager, was very helpful. He met my family for a viewing of the property before we rented it and even helped some of our guests who had car trouble. The pool is beautiful and huge, although it did get a little murky after a few days. The rooms are spacious and the balcony has a nice view of the surrounding area. There are a few cats and roosters just kind of walking around but hey, you're in Puerto Rico so you have to expect it. And there's a also a horse and fresh mangoes next door so I definitely recommend staying here instead of a hotel, especially if you want a unique and authentic experience. We had a full house of first time visitors and they are all talking about going back already and although Puerto Rico is beautiful, I partly credit casa bomberos for the great time they had.
We rented the whole house for a week for our beach wedding. The house is fabulous! The bedroom are large and the beds were so comfortable that everyone was saying how well they slept. The house was a bit warm when we arrived but cooled very quickly once we turned the AC on. The pool is large and well maintained and the pool bar was just an added bonus. Plenty of bathrooms worked out well for the 13 of us. The house is close to everything but you must have car there. Be careful driving there as the locals know the roads well and they have very little tolerance for other drivers. The roosters next door were annoying the first day but after that you don't seem to notice them. We found a sams club the next town over which worked out well for our group. The manager Elier was very informative and will help you in any way he can. The bakery up the road had fresh pastries every morning that were so delicious. The cafés in Rincon have the best coffee I have ever had. The local restaurants are great and also listed in welcome package. The owner Mike was very nice and always quick to answer our emails and any questions we had. We will definitely be back to the Casa Bomberos "house of firefighters"!
We had 9 of us head down for a vacation! There are 2 separate parts of the house which made it really easy and convient for all of us to have our own space. cool grounds for the kids to "explore" Mango trees for some delicious fruit in the morning. CLose restaurants( you need a car) which made it easy to please the group. The pool gets afternoon sun, so after a great day of local surf, was able to have more fun into the evening. Wonderful expereince, would recommend to families with children!!
Rincon is famous for sunsets, beautiful beaches both for swimming & surfing, whale watching in the winter, all sorts of water activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, banana boat rides, deep sea fishing, & more! The Humpback whales come down late December to about mid-March. A real treat to see! The new Tres Palmas Marine Preserve is a great spot to go snorkeling for some of the fantastic sea life we are famous for just feet off shore! You may be as busy or relaxed as you choose in Rincon. Various delicious restaurants await you all over town, and you may take wonderful day trips to different parts of the island. Mayaguez is 20 minutes to the south of us with shopping malls, cinemas, casinos and more. Close enough to be handy, far enough away to keep Rincon a nice little town! The Arecibo Observatory (setting for James Bond's Golden Eye and Jody Foster in Contact) and the Camuy Caves are just 1.5 hour drive, a great day trip for Wednesdays - Sundays .
Other Activities: Jet skis, banana boat rides, sailboat charters & more! Casinos & shopping 20-30 min!.
Golf: There are many golf courses close to our home. The closest one being Aguadilla (by the airport) a 1/2 hour away. Cabo rojo is 45 minutes and ponce is 1 1/2 hours. There are also many more within an 1 1/2.
