Beautiful sunsets and awesome panoramic views await you just steps from this Newport Beach vacation home on the Balboa peninsula. This vacation home is the lower unit of a duplex and is one house away from the sand, walking distance from park, basketball court, tennis court, and Newport Pier on the boardwalk. This is not the typical vacation rental. The house is clean and comfortable. The lot is 50% larger than normal. If you enjoy music, the property has a state of the art audio / video system. Wireless internet also provided. If, you have small children, the house has been professionally child proofed.

A sliding glass door opens up from the living room to the patio area where you can read and relax while enjoying the ocean breeze on the 600sq foot tiled patio.

If you enjoy eating out, there are 50+ restaurants within walking distance. Our guests are always happy with the accommodations. My favorite activity is sitting on the patio with a newspaper and watching everyone riding, roller blading or just walking by.

In summer, winter, spring, or fall, this NON-SMOKING vacation home is definitely all about location, rest, and relaxation. Step out to the ocean and watch the dolphins swim by or enjoy views of Catalina Island.

Master Bedroom has King bed. Second bedroom has two single beds and a third single pull out (trundle) under the single by the window. In addition, basic starter kitchen, bathroom and laundry supplies are provided. There are no silly extra fees for laundry, cleaning, linens, etc...

The house is professionally cleaned after each guest. In the summer we enjoy opening the windows and letting the ocean breeze roll through the house.

This vacation home includes a carport and a second car can park behind the carport. The property also includes boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, beach toys, and coolers..

You will be walking distance from great restaurants, live music, and shops in the heart of the peninsula. If you are looking for activities, there are plenty to choose from - walking along the ocean, biking, roller blading, boogie boarding, surfing, sailing, boat rentals, whale watching, trips to Catalina Island, fishing, shopping at Fashion Island or South Coast Plaza and more.

This rental is just 15 minutes from John Wayne Airport, 20 minutes from Disneyland, California Adventure, and a short drive from Los Angeles International Airport, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Hollywood, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm, Long Beach Aquarium, Queen Mary, Getty Museum, and many other tourist attractions.

Please be advised that this is NOT a party house. My family lives in the other unit.

Have a nice time, use the beach, have a barbeque, get some sun and relax. We hope that you will come stay in our beach house and enjoy all that Newport has to offer.

About Robert Ranger

We are a family of four. I've lived on the penninsula for 21 years and in this house for 11+ years. Each year we rent the upper unit where we live for two weeks while we go on vacation. We usually rent to another family wanting to enjoy the beach.

I've always wanted to live by the ocean. It brings a sense of balance and renewal to everyone who visits. I chose this property because it a 50% wider lot than the normal property, it is a corner lot with a direct ocean view and it is one house to the ocean.

What makes this townhome unique

This property is set up as a home, not a rental. Spices are in the cupboards ready for cooking. No silly extras like paying for laundry. The furniture, carpet and decor and appliances are all setup the way we want to live. We commonly look outside and see dolphins.

Best value in Newport Beach!

This home is located in just the right location. It is just 2 blocks to the famous boardwalk, which is right on the sand. The house itself is a mere 100' from the sand. Each and every sunset is steps away no matter what you are doing at that time. The rooms are very clean and it is a fully furnished vacation home. The TV is huge and the sound system is high quality surround sound. I have been staying at this same house for 12 straight years and I plan on staying many times again. The home owner is fair and honest. If you are lucky enough to catch this property available, make it a priority to fit into your schedule, you will not be dissappointed. Good luck and enjoy.

Fantastic House in a Fantastic Location

I stayed at this property for 1 week in July 2014 with my wife and 2 kids (ages 4 and 9). The property exceeded my expectations in every way. The location of this house is perfect… on a corner lot only 1 house from the beach. Walking to and from the beach is a snap, even if carrying an armful of beach toys, chairs and towels because it only takes about 30 seconds to walk from house to sand. And all of those sand toys and chairs are provided with the house (in storage closet in car port) along with boogie boards, surf boards, flippers and beach umbrellas. The house itself was extremely spacious, clean and well stocked with everything that’s needed for an extended stay. There are lots of beach towels, bath towels, extra pillows along with toilet paper, paper towels, and kitchen supplies (including spices, cookware, Tupperware, dishwasher soap, sponges, etc). If you have a baby or toddler, there was a stroller, Pack n Play and booster seat (for kitchen table). The beds were comfortable and appliances were in excellent condition and appeared to be new. There’s an extra bathroom with shower and laundry machines located outside the main living area but still very convenient and handy. The outdoor patio is a fantastic space to sit and relax or enjoy an outdoor meal or BBQ (also provided with full propane tanks). It was my wife’s favorite part of the house and her afternoon retreat each day with a book in the chaise lounge. The adjacent streets get busy during the day with beach parking and lots of foot traffic to/from the beach, but the area was very quiet at night. Lots of daytime joggers, bikers, and walkers along Seashore Drive make it a great place to “people watch” or even a better place to get out to enjoy the beautiful area. The local area (Newport Beach, Balboa Island, etc) is very nice and offers lots to do and see. There is a nearby grocery store (Pavilions) and many nearby restaurant options. I would highly recommend this property for your vacation retreat and I’ll definitely consider future vacations to this same property.

Family Disneyland & Beach Vacation

We loved staying at your beach house for our family vacation - thank you for providing such a fun and comfortable home for us to enjoy!

The home was exactly as represented in the description - everything we needed was included: Lots of towels, bedding, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful patio, high quality gas grill, beach toys, boogie boards, easy parking, washer & dryer, and a fantastic entertainment system.

Location was fantastic, close to grocery stores (we shopped at Trader Joes and Pavilions), restaurants (we ate at Wahoo Tacos and Il Gelato three times each - the fish tacos at Wahoos are the best, and the fresh juice at Il Gelato was excellent), and super easy access to Highway 1 and the 55. In fact, driving to Disneyland was even quicker than expected thanks to the carpool only exits from the 55 to the 5 and the 5 to Disney Way. We won't ever stay at an Anaheim hotel again!

Of course, the main reason we came to Newport Beach was the beach, which is just minutes from the house. The kids loved the beach, as there were tons of sand crabs to dig and the rocky points were home to crabs, starfish, snails, anemones, and other cool tide pool creatures. The youngest loved the beach toys, especially the little blue wagon, big yellow truck, and green shovel. The oldest kids loved the boogie boards.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and the warm weather was icing on the cake.

Great Vacation

I came here for a girls get away weekend and there are no words for how great it was! Robert took care of anything we needed and the house was clean and ready on arrival. We had some fruit and eggs outside on the patio one morning and the beach is so close, you can feel the breeze. Great place, I will definitely be coming back. Thanks, Robert!

Great Stay!

We were in Newport in May 2011. We had the best time. Love the location and it was the exact floor plan that my Aunt lived in down the street for 40 years. So, it felt like hom. Definitely will go again. Wanting to reserve two weeks in July of 2013.
