A very private Dominica country house situated on 22 acres of forest and citrus trees. Property has 2 rivers with pools for bathing, a waterfall just inside the entrance, lots of wild flowers, parrots, and a trail with steps leading to the rivers in the valley in front of the house. Ramelton is unhurried, unworried, unspoiled - the perfect place to unwind - either on the veranda or in front of the fireplace in the living room. A perfect base for exploring, hiking, and soaking up the unique creole culture of Dominica. Ramelton is not as predictable as a five star hotel - there is an element of do it yourself to the place which gives you the freedom to personalize your stay.

Ramelton is safe, fully furnished, and has a resident caretaker, maid, as well as an easily accessible property manager.

Panoramic Views and Relaxing Stay in the Rain Forest!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The rooms were well appointed with amazing views. The living areas and deck were perfect for conversation, reflection and inspiration. Everything was clean and well maintained, and those we met there were very helpful. It was a perfect place to have a quiet get away and centrally located to nearby hikes and town.

We would highly recommend it and would return.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

Our stay at Ramelton

It is hard to believe we were in Dominica only a week ago. It seems so much longer. We had a wonderful time while there and the accommodations at The Ramelton Estate were perfect! Thanks again for setting everything up: from getting us a car, driver, mass schedule, supplies and especially for the tasty chicken dinner you had waiting for us on the night of our arrival. Your help was invaluable. John, Mary and Rudy took very good care of us during out stay. John was particularly helpful with our many questions and requests, and Mary kept the house in top shape. We hope to see you again on our next visit!
