Skiing:
Skiing Information: Check the website for Sugarbush Mountain and Mad River
Glen for all the details. Suffice it to say, the skiing and riding are
abundant and superb.
Ski:
Sugarbush South - State of the art. The best contemporary skiing there is. Magnificent. The best lifts. Virtually no waiting. The best snowmaking. Castlerock area is a natural wonder. The blacks are challenging! The blues are a cruiser's dream. The snowboard terrain is for real. Sugarbush North (Mt. Ellen is open early - November; and often late - May?) is always worth the trip. A great mountain in its' own right.
Mad River Glen - Old fashioned -the way skiing was meant to be. A natural wonderland in a protected bowl. Fantastic. A cult favorite. When conditions are good there is no place better to be. All natural snow. Try it any day but Saturdays, when it can get very much in demand. No snowboards allowed. Lowest prices. Good food. Real Fun! Some of their blacks can put new meaning into 'expert'. Strangely, the kids seem to love it. Good schools, good programs. Great childcare is available at the Cricket Club - from 6 weeks on up.
