Mountain views, a 60 foot wide roaring creek for fishing and fun right out the back door, 2 acres of front yard, privacy, and a modern and spacious cabin - what more could you ask for?
River's Edge Cabin is a fully up-to-date and well-appointed log cabin that sits on 3 private acres, with approximately 250 feet of frontage on the regularly-stocked Cosby Creek (over 60 feet wide!) for trout fishing and other water fun! Cosby Creek originates in the National Park just a few miles away, and is considered a blue ribbon trout stream.
Sit on the large back deck and listen to the rushing creek for hours on end, or on the front porch and enjoy the hummingbirds while you watch the kids play ball in the huge front lawn area (2 gently sloping grass acres).
River's Edge Cabin is approximately 2,400 square feet, with a full basement gameroom of over 800 square feet, equipped with a slate pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, color TV, gas stove, and jigsaw puzzles.
The house is appointed with fully functional antiques and quality Thomasville Furnishings, as well as High Definition TV with and DVD player. The solid pine dining table accommodates up to eight (8)guests for family get-togethers. The kitchen has modern whirlpool appliances, eating bar, utensils, dishes, and even fine china for that special occasion!
Our large front porch is perfect for sipping a cup of coffee in the morning while you watch the hummingbirds, and the 2-acre front yard provides plenty of play area for soccer, volleyball, and horseshoes. Our kids just like to go to the top of the hill and run down as fast as they can!
Enjoy the 4-person jetted hot tub overlooking Cosby Creek.
The Creek is, at its normal level, from 1 to 2.5 feet deep - perfect for kids to play in, tube, etc.
River's Edge Cabin is about a 25 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, including Dollywood and the many other attractions and shows. The cabin is only 3 miles from the Cosby Entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are several good restaurants less than 5 minutes from the cabin, including the famous Carver's Apple House.
If you need to do some ironing or laundry, River's Edge has a fully-equipped large laundry room with washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board.

OCCUPANCY LIMITED TO EIGHT (8) PEOPLE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!
We basically just vegetated at the cabin the whole time we were there - sitting on the back deck and watching the fish jump. There were some horses on the other side of the creek that were pretty comical too.
Hard to imagine a prettier setting than this.
Very cozy cabin sitting on Cosby Creek, great views in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The porch creek side was peaceful even though there are neighbors, we never heard anything out of them. The hot tub on the bottom level gives you a view of the creek to enjoy. The only complaint was the bed in the loft which had a huge dip in it and was rather noisy. If the loft bed was fixed we would definitely stay again. A 30 minute drive to Gatlinburg with cute local restaurants near by.
My family of 5 stayed in this cabin for five nights in October. This was the first time staying in Cosby and we absolutely loved it. Normally we stay in the secluded mountains in a cabin . There are cabins around this cabin and across the stream and we weren't so sure at first but after the first night and listening to the stream while sitting on the porch we loved it!!! we could see the other cabins but we didn't hear much out of them. my twelve year old twin boys actually played in the stream (and it was COLD) every single day and sometimes again right before dark. this cabin was the cleanest that we have ever stayed in. The kids (well and my hubby as well) loved the game room. When it got dark out thats where i could find them all. My daughter and i loved the porch overlooking the stream and i mean we were right there by the stream. it was just gorgeous. If it hadn't got so chilly at night i would have left the bedroom door open to listen to the stream all night long. Plenty of towels, kitchen fully stocked with anything we needed and once again it was CLEAN. We were hoping for a bear to come down the stream one day but maybe another time. I would recommend this cabin to anyone...the steps going downstairs and upstairs are a bit deep and steep but if you pay attention there shouldn't be a problem. oh my, i almost forgot, the laundry room. i loved it. it was huge...made me very jealous. :) WE WILL BE BACK.
My husband I stayed 2 nights at this wonderful cabin for our 31st anniversary. I can't begin to tell you how much were enjoyed our stay. The cabin was so comfortable and we felt right at home. We loved the porches and we kept the screen doors and windows open so that we could hear the creek day and night!
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. We hope to come back soon.
I was expecting a "cabin development" deal where you are packed in with 30 other cabins.
I was shocked when we got out of the car and looked around - we had total privacy and the grounds are GORGEOUS. The creek really is more like a river - our kids spent some of every day tubing down the river. My oldest son also caught two rainbow trout!
There is a great restaurant just about 2 miles away that we ate at several meals that also had a apple orchard and fruit stand.
This one is a winner!
We had a very nice week at Cabin on Rivers Edge. The house and grounds are much larger than we expected. The creek was a constant source of enjoyment for my children and myself. Everything in and outside the house was in working order.
Overall, an excellent stay. Would gladly stay again.
