Cloudy Dreams is located just 2.6 miles from traffic light #10 in Gatlinburg. We are just one street away from the border of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so you can imagine the views!. You can spend your time hiking, fishing, picnicking, clamoring over rocks in the river, tubing down the river, or wildlife viewing in the park or go into town to enjoy all it has to offer. Gatlinburg has a wonderful aquarium, many Ripleys museums, haunted houses, arcades, an 8 mile long arts and crafts loop, miniature golf, a winery, live theater, fabulous restaurants, and lots and lots of shopping. Ober Gatlinburg located just 1.5 miles from our chalet is the only place in TN to ski. It also has indoor ice skating allowing you to ice skate year round. Nearby in Pigeon Forge are lots of music theaters, a few dinner theaters, Dollywood amusement park, Splash Country water park, Nascar Park, three different outlet malls, and much, much more!

  • The bedroom suites are are located off of the great room on opposite sides affording you total privacy. Each large suite contains a King bed with luxurious bedding. A dresser with a mirror is yours to use. There’s also plenty of room in the walk-in closet to hang your clothes and store your suitcases. A 27 inch TV is also provided for your enjoyment. The best part? A full wall of windows and a door leading out to the deck and your own private view! You'll be able to lay in bed each morning and enjoy the sunrise. The Doe and Buck Suite is so named because of the two beautiful pencil drawings of deer over the bed - one of a doe and the other of a buck. The whole theme of this room is these stately creatures. The Woodlands Suite is adorned with the artwork of local artist Vern Hippensteal. Woodland views and critters are the theme of this comfortable suite. Don't forget that each bedroom has its own adjoining bathroom with tub and shower.

WOW, what a wonderful place you have. We all felt completely at home (including the dogs). We really appreciate all the personal touches. The directions came in handy several times. We have already recommended the chalet to several people. Thanks again for sharing your home.

Cloudy Dreams is like going to stay at a friend's house. We found it to be very family user friendly. There was no problem in managing a 3 and 1 1/2 year old in the chalets comfortable setting. The bedrooms were spacious to allow for a twin blowup mattress in one and an infant bed in another.
We would be pleased to recommend Cloudy Dreams to anyone looking for a family oriented retreat.

The Cloudy Dreams Chalet is beautiful and spacious. The view is spectacular. My husband and I traveled with our friends and their teenagers and had a wonderful time. The teens thoroughly enjoyed the game room. It even snowed, which was wonderful. Some of us skied Ober Gatlinburg. Thanks for such a wonderful time.

Owner's Response: I'm so glad that you (and several other guests) have skied the slopes of Ober Gatlinburg this year. It's so close to the chalet. It's nice to see people use it. We've never been skiing there, but we've gone up several times to ice skate which is also a lot of fun. My husband a I met our best friends at the chalet for the weekend, we had a wonderful time. The chalet was very clean (which is a BIGGIE), and the decor really added to the mountain feel. It is perfect for two couples because each bedroom has it's own bath and they are on opposite sides of the house. Our plans were just to relax and just spend time with friends, and this turned out to be the perfect place to do so. Overall great experience
Owner's Response: Netra, We really do strive to keep the chalet in top condition for our guests. While we get down to the chalet to work around the house anywhere from 6 - 10 times a year, the real credit goes to the couple that cleans our house. They do a fantastic job and we're very grateful to have them!

I know that when we used to look for a place to stay, we always looked for King suites. We would visit Gatlinburg once a year with my parents and it could be difficult to find two Kings in a two bedroom, so that was one of the things I looked for when we went to buy a place.

I'm glad you were able to have a relaxing getaway with your best friends. We hope to have you all stay with us again sometime!

We stayed at Cloudy Dreams 1/8/09-1/12/09. We loved it! Our kids (2 yrs and 4 yrs) especially liked the "play room". We were all very impressed by the spacious, relaxing setting of this chalet. We experienced the fake snow at Ober and were surprised with a decent, real snow shower on Sunday morning! We would definitely recommend this chalet to anyone planning a trip to Gatlinburg.

I'm glad you all had a chance to get up to Ober Gatlinburg. There really is a lot to do up there both in winter and in the fall. This past summer my 16 yo daughter and her best friend really enjoyed skating at the indoor ice rink and sliding down the alpine slide. Unfortunately, we've never gone skiing up there. It's still on my to do list.

I'm glad the kids got to see at least a little bit of real snow. I know being from MS that they must have really enjoyed that!
