Large modern home set on 11 acres.The private wooded setting lets you get away from it all. Ski Stratton - fifteen minutes to either the Main Lodge or Sunbowl! Manchester Outlet Stores are 35 minutes. Seven sleeping areas, four and a half baths, two fireplaces and a great big deck - plenty of room to spread out. A large entry room with heated floors and plenty of space for your gear, six foot tubs and lots of board games, foosball, high speed internet, air hockey and a big flat screen for game day. The kitchen is large with 9 at the breakfast bar and another 8 at the table. Fully outfitted for the gang!

Ski Stratton-under 10 miles, fifteen minute drive - or ski with pig dog at Bromley!, take the Magic Mountain challenge or 'Go-kemo'...they are all 25-45 minutes away....you can't find four distinctly different skiing experiences all within an hour of each other anywhere else. Cross country ski or snow shoe along the West River in the Jamaica State Park - under 3 miles. UNBELIEVABLE sledding at the Townshend Dam - under 10 miles away. Shop til you drop - Manchester Outlet Stores - 35 minutes away. Fly fish the Battenkill - Orvis Flagship Store! - Manchester, VT. Take a trip back in time...Vermont Country Store - 25 minutes to Weston. Go watch them make cheese...Grafton Cheese factory - 35 minutes to Brattleboro.

  • The first floor has three bedrooms and 2 common baths. The first floor bedrooms are: 1)a queen and a bunk, 2) a full bed and 3) two twin beds. The second floor contains 1) Master suite queen with shower, 2) Master queen w/ private deck, this suite includes a double sink bathroom off a private hallway - or you can choose to open this bathroom to the common area for a very flexible plan and 3) an office with queen sleeper. There is also a powder room on this level. The third floor is a 17x17 bedroom with a full, two twin beds and a bunk bed. There is also a two level built in kid's 'fort' in this room as an additional play space.

Notes: A big open kitchen, long counters, an large eat at bar, a flat screen TV and easy access to the outdoor grill, plenty of space for multiple cooks - a fireplace and adjoining dining area make the downstairs a natural gathering place. Upstairs opens to the deck and outdoor hot tub with woodland views. Indoors, the fireplace, flat screen, shuffleboard table, foosball and comfy leather coaches....there really is something for everyone. There's a great big fire pit out back - for that ultimate s'more experience. From the kitchen windows and/or the deck we have seen deer,fox, tracks from the moose, wild turkeys, and a very large black bear or two. The screech owls like the trees surrounding the driveway. The moon rises through the trees off the deck.

First Floor: The first floor entry has a large heated floor mud room for boots, skis and gear. The kitchen, dining area with fireplace, three bedrooms, two baths and the utility room with washer and dryer are all on this main level.

Second Floor: The second floor is great big space opening from the stairwell. A fireplace with large flat screen, a dry bar, comfy leather couches, a table for games, the foosball and shuffle board tables and the office all open to each other in this space.The deck is accessed here, with it's hot tub, forest views and extra outdoor seating. the two Master suites are on this level, along with the powder room.

The third floor layout: The third floor is one big bedroom. Set up for bunches of kids, or a family room - two twins, a queen and a bunk bed. There's a two level hideaway 'fort' built into the wall for additional play space for bigger kids!

Other Activities: Super sledding for kids at the park, outlet shopping for adults, and the river for all!

We rented the house with 3 other families. The property has 11 acres we hiked, kids had a ball and sledding and Stratton were 5 minutes away. We loved it!
