First off you have to be honest with yourself.....
So here is the deal folks..... You have to be honest with yourself in what you are looking for when go to Oahu. If you are looking to sit poolside and have Mai Tai's delivered to your lounge chair, only to leave the property to see the nearest beach for 30 minutes on your trip, this is not the place for you to stay. Feel free to waste 300 bucks a night or more on a resort like that.
But if you are looking to experience the real Oahu, only using the condo as a home base with a clean bed, this is the place for you. Best bargain on the island in my opinion. I travel for work around the US and the price for this place is hands down the best deal I have ever encountered.
The condo is clean, modernized, and not located in a busy hub that makes it impossible to get out of. I would never stay in Honolulu, that is joke, if you want that, just spend a weekend in your local metropolis. The complex is great, with the pool right next to the condo (we used it only one night as the kids "had" to try the pool). The employees of the condo were friendly and professional.
Here is the deal. When you go to Oahu, spend half a day in Honolulu at Waikiki. Spend a few hours at Diamond Head, spend a few hours at Pearl Harbor, and then spend the rest of your time here jumping from beach to beach, from plantation to plantation, from back highway to back highway. Save your money, stay here and spend it on interesting foods from anything from Shrimp shacks on the north shore, to cheap but great sushi 2 miles from the condo. Don't pick a place to stay with the intention of staying your whole vacation at the resort, that is not the real Hawaii.
This Condo is perfect for 6 people. It was exceptionally clean and in great shape. I had read reviews about the place being noisy, we were there for a week and didn't hear a peep. We were able to use the location to see every area of the island during our stay, some of the places a couple of times.
Great place, highly recommend to everyone I know.
Must do's on the island: Hanamea Bay. Go early...way early. Be there when they open the gates at 6 am. We were first in line. Had the beach to ourselves for half an hour. Everyone in our party swam with turtles. Majestic.
Pearl Harbor and Diamond head... you will do them once, and be glad you did.
Shark's Cove on North shore, if you miss opening time at Hanamea, keep going, second best snorkeling we found. Free and no one there.
Great place!!
