Description of the Newry vacation cabin rental
Bear River Cabin is a large, new, western style log cabin located on 57 secluded acres in Newry, Maine. Ten minutes to Sunday River Ski and town of Bethel. Four season vacation rental for nearby downhill & cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, skating, hiking, fishing, direct from site. Over 5,000 square feet of livable space, including three very large bedrooms (two with cathedral ceilings), four and one-half baths (master with Jacuzzi tub), cathedral ceiling Great Room with 21 foot fieldstone fireplace, large gourmet kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, large dining area capable of seating ten or more, large loft overlooking the Great Room, 1,000 square foot deck with hot tub, large entertainment area with four-sided gas fireplace, 16’ bar, pool table, piano and entertainment center, & two car garage. On Bear River with mountain views, private swimming hole, and fishing. Credit Cards now accepted through PayPal.

Please visit our website for complete details. The Cabin is located in the scenic Bear River Valley on Route 26. It is approximately 10 minutes from both the Sunday River Ski Resort and the scenic town of Bethel; 5 minutes from the Androscoggin River; and 5 minutes from scenic Grafton Notch State Park. It has direct access to the Maine Interconnected Trail system (ITS84) for hiking, snowmobiling and cross country skiing and is directly across from the trail head of the 17 mile Grafton Loop Trail which connects to the Appalachian Mountain Trail. The Bear River, the primary drainage for the Mahoosuc Mountain Range, flows through the property and provides prime swimming and fishing opportunities.

Laundry – Located on first floor, has washer and dryer. Detergent, softener and bleach supplied.
Entertainment – Stereo system throughout Cabin. Large screen HDTV on first floor with Direct TV, including HBO and local channels. TVs in Kitchen and bedrooms, pool table, bar, heated garage for snowmobiles and ski equipment. Hot Tub located on deck accommodates up to 6. Gas barbecue on deck.
Communications – Wireless, high speed DSL Internet connections. Telephone for local calls – credit card required for all long distance calling. Cellular phone service is questionable.
Comfort. Cabin was constructed using the latest in state-of-the-art systems to ensure the comfort of our guests. These included foam foundation forms that provide 8 inches of insulation in the First Floor walls, 10” Structural Insulated Panels that form the Cabin’s roof, Andersen Thermopane windows throughout and an in-floor, computerized radiant heating that virtually eliminates drafts.
