Savannah Condo

I loved this historic condo. It was spic and span and had lovely furnishings. I'd absolutely recommend it, but keep in mind, it was just two adults on our visit. I don't think there would be room for more (unless it was one small, very well behaved child.) The only thing I would add is a clock radio.
The owner was very, very flexible and cooperative, making special arrangements for us to get in early, since we were arriving at noon and didn't have a place to put our luggage. I liked the location. It is on the opposite end of the historic district from the river front, which was fine with me, but be aware of that if the river front is a key location for you.
Everyone we met in this city was charming and went out of their way. For instance, we decided to rent a car for one day, and the owner drove over and picked us up, then took us to the airport when we dropped off the car. I don't have the name of the business here at my office, but it is a locally owned car rental agency in the phone book, not a chain.
There seems to be some mission though among locals to recommend Mrs. Wilkes restaurant over Paula Deen's. We ate at both places, and they are different. Mrs. Wilkes is family style only (bowls of food at large tables), and Paula has a buffet or menu. I recommend BOTH!
