What I LOVE The Most About 'Eden Rock': Eden Rock is located in a very serene and peaceful setting within the heart of an private estate association, Tokeneke Park. I love hearing the various types of birds, the wildlife, and watching the baby bunnies hop about. I look forward to walking to boat laden Five Mile River just two houses away, fishing off the lagoon bridges and beach pier, watching the seagulls strut about the beach to finally rest on one leg. All the seasons are beautiful each providing their own brilliant colors. Tokeneke Park is rich with color. Brilliant greens of the trees, grasses and pachysandra and yellows and purples displayed by jonquils, daffodils, forsythia, and crocus in early spring changing to whites, pinks, reds, corals from flowering trees and shrubs. In the fall, deep yellows, oranges, maroons and white are evident by the multitude of hardy mums, daisies and changing leaves. Winter is characterized by white, the whiteness of snow, smoke from the chimneys & barren birch trees.
What I Love Best About Darien: Beaches and Boating; Sophistication in a village like setting with plenty to do! Darien is close to NYC (45 mins.), airports (30 mi), Rhode Island shore (2 hrs. day trip), Historic Newport, R.I (3hrs.) The Hamptons (2 hr day trip), Jersey shore (2 hrs.), Historic Mystic, Connecticut (1 hour day trip). So much to do....lots of adventure . Darien Library voted #1 in CT; free computers, computer lessons, children's computers, story time, video & stereo lending library. . Beach and boating community, Shakespeare on the Sound, Outdoor concerts . Town sponsored Lobster bakes and cookouts . Excellent schools, Norwalk Community College kids camp and adult education . Beautiful new YMCA for family membership . Art shows and art centers, Museums both for children and adults . Multitude of parades, fireworks, craft shows, tag sales and outdoor festivities . Darien Nature Center . Famous Ox Ridge Hunt Club: polo
What I Love About Connecticut: It's On The WATER: Connecticut is ranked one of the best places in the World to live!!! It is one of the prettiest places that I have ever been including Bermuda and Greece. Excellent schools, hospitals, libraries, culture, and stimulation! I love taking day trips. There is so much to see and each village has its own personality and adventure! Darien is on the WATER and has 2 public BEACHES! Plenty of water sports! Boating, Biking, Jogging, Motor scooters, Horseback riding! BOOK NOW BEFORE SPRING/SUMMER RUSH!
Ski: There are several ski resorts in Connecticut: Mount Southington, Mohawk Mountain, PowderRidge, Sundown and Woodbury Ski area. There is nearby skiing in the Berkshires and also weekend trips to Vermont.
Golf: There are public golf courses in the neighboring towns of Norwalk, Stamford and Westport approximately a 15 minute drive.
Other Activities: polo matches, lobster bakes, outdoor concerts, all kinds of boating, Norwalk Community College, camps for kids, Westport playhouse &Cabaret Theatre,
