Hali’I Kai is a new, gated resort community exclusive to residents and their guests. Its architecture is Hawaiian Plantation style. We have UNIT 3-A UPSTAIRS on the top floor, South side. One of the greatest features at Hali'i Kai is the stunning oceanfront Ocean Club featuring a large, resort quality, multi-level, oceanfront lagoon-style pool with a waterfall, partially-submerged aqua lounge chairs, children's wading area, all with 180 degree view of the Pacific! It also features an oceanfront, open air Exercise Hale with varied top-of-the-line fitness equipment. Enjoy Hali'i Kai’s own private restaurant and bar...AND it's own chefs - formerly from The Four Seasons! The food is fabulous, featuring only the freshest locally grown and highest quality seafood and meats delivered daily.

The LIVING / DINING ROOM: Our motif is a Tropical Polynesian blend...with creative original art works from various local 'struggling artists'! We have a large screen LCD television, a great stereo...and lots of good movies & great music ! For your acoustical pleasure, our hale has a Bose LifeStyle surround sound stereo system...that you will absolutely LOVE!..and we also have a docking station for your personal iPod, so you may listen to all of your favorite music. We have High Speed WiFi for your internet access.

The KITCHEN: Features granite countertops, mahogany cabinets, and all the tools of the trade...and then some! Our goal is to make sure you have all you need during your stay for creating the delicacies you might crave! ...Please let us know how we can improve your next visit!

The BEDROOMS/BATHS: The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, walk-in closet, and wall-mounted HDTV television. There is a walk-in shower, double sinks and a separate deep tub for soaking away your cares! The guest bedroom is at the opposite end of the unit and is essentially another master bedroom, featuring two, extra-long twin beds that can be joined to form a king-size bed... (and we know how to do this correctly!), ample closet space, and full, private bath, dual sinks.

SHOPPING & DINING: The Kings & Queens shopping centers are a short walk away, and feature many choices for casual as well as award winning dining. The Kings shops offer designer apparel, jewelry, and specialty shops including Macy’s, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co. and local artisan shops like Noa Noa, Travel bookings shops, too. The Queens Marketplace, across the street, offers many restaurants (Macaroni Grill is our favorite), Starbucks, shops, and a 21,000 sq. ft. gourmet supermarket and a 4,000 seat amphitheatre for concerts and cultural events.

GOLFING – To start - championship golfing at two 18-hole courses: the resort-style Beach Course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. - a must-see picturesque 12th-hole ocean view and the more challenging Kings’ Course with numerous pot bunkers and undulating fairways.

CULTURAL: Hali’I Kai resides on an idealic site along the 'Old Donkey Trail' or 'Trail by the Sea' (Ala Kahakai) to the north shore...the King’s trail meanders through centuries old petroglyph fields and provides a lovely walking tour. And two beautifully-preserved ancient Hawaiian fishponds.

Humpback whales (Kohala) are commonly seen frolicking directly off the shoreline during the whale season... Sunrises over Mauna Kea...Blue Pacific waters that go on forever & ever...Sunsets that sizzle into an end of the world twilight...the drum beat of crashing waves...Island fever...it's very HYPNOTIC!

At A-Bay, Anaeho’omalu Bay, sea turtles (Honu) swim right up to your feet! You may sunbathe on the beach, swim, snorkel, scuba and windsurf in the bay. It's a 15-min. walk to the N side of A-Bay from our front gate. Drive time is 5 min. to the public parking at South side.

This is a non-smoking hale - family allergies; therefore if you smoke, please do so outside...we check and forfeit deposits if someone’s smoked inside.

We would often come to the Waikoloa area or Mauna Lani and figured it would be great to have a family home there and rent it out when we're not there.

What makes this condo unique

Well the Ocean Club!! I adore the food there and whale watching from my lounge chair poolside under a palm tree. The hot tub has a sandy bottom (love that). The 3-tier pool is awesome; working out overlooking the ocean, mostly I just love the resort atmosphere, and being close to snorkeling and the Kings and Queens shops. We have friends that stay or live in the complex or nearby and it's great to get together.

Great Vacation Place!!!

We stayed at this impeccably maintained/cleaned condo during our first trip ever to the Waikoloa Beach Resort. The Owners have created amenities that rival any 5 diamond hotel. The finest stocked kitchenware I have ever seen, along with furniture of the highest quality. Our favorite part was walking to the ocean front pool/healthclub/restaurant nearly everyday to watch the sunset. When we weren't there, we were at world class beaches within a 10 minute drive. The beds were so comfortable and we had all the amenities we could possibly ask for during our stay. Everything was so convenient and we felt like we had our own little corner of paradise! The Ocean Club which is part of the property and how it overlooks the ocean was beyond our imagination, you feel like you are sitting on a private yacht. Excellent experience!

A SLICE OF PARADISE

The condo was modern, exceptionally clean, well stocked with lawn chairs, cooler, umbrella, boogie board, basketball, tennis racquets, cards and board games. We enjoyed barbequing our dinner on a Weber and eating our meals on the deck. The resort pool area was clean and well managed. It is close to 3 very nice beaches. The owners were exceptional to deal with and prompt with there responses.

One extra fee to consider is that you have to pay an additional $10 a day to the resort for staying there.

A little bit of paradise!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful unit. It is well furnished and well maintained. The kitchen has all the amenities needed for light cooking. The Ocean Club with pool, bar and afternoon restaurant required a daily visit after our road trip of the day. The off-site and on-site management people were very helpful. All around a very good experience!

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!

My family and I stayed in this unit during December, 2013. It was perfect, in every way possible. At first I thought it might be a little too far from the Ocean Club. Not! It was such good exercise to walk there a few times a day. The whales arrived while we were here and they provided us with lots of entertainment. We loved this unit so much that we made our return reservations the day after our vacation ended. This is the nicest VRBO in Hawaii we have stayed at. Look no further! This unit does not disappoint!!

Fabulous Stay!

We stayed at this condo for a week and were extremely happy with the accommodations and property owners. We are a family of four and very experienced with renting condos on our vacations. This condo had everything we needed and more (including beach umbrellas, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment). I received a ton of helpful information prior to our arrival as well in terms of where to shop for groceries and souvenirs, and favorite beaches. The condo and property were absolutely beautiful, very true to the pictures posted on the website and central to everything. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit. Thank you!

Beautiful, well-equipped condo!

We spent 6 nights at this beautiful condo - so much nicer than a hotel room, and a lot more cost-effective too! We really enjoyed the décor of the unit - tastefully done in an island/Hawaii theme - with a beautiful piece of artwork in the living room (same artist we have in our home). As a couple with a teenage daughter, this was a perfect set-up - everyone had privacy, but great rooms for family time together as well. This is a newer resort - so everything is very nice. The Beach Club (ocean-front pool/hot tub/exercise pavilion/restaurant) was very lovely - pool was warm, hot tub with sandy bottom was divine - especially after we had spent the day rounding up cattle on horseback! The sunset views from the Beach Club were spectacular! The owners were very helpful during our booking and planning process - giving us many hints on things to do, etc. Both king-size beds were very comfortable - the kitchen well-equipped (only suggestion is to add a muffin pan for baking muffins). When we first arrived, the condo was pretty hot inside - and we called the local rep (even though it was late) and she helped us out over the phone on how to operate the air conditioning system and even stopped by the next morning to make sure everything was working well for us. Condo itself was very clean - and the grounds were immaculately kept. We really enjoyed our time here and would readily recommend it to anyone!

  • Bedroom furniture was all hand-made by a local artisan using local woods in stunning polynesian style! Walk-in closet, ample dressers, Large bedrooms with ceiling light fans. Large LCD TV screens in each. These are two master bedrooms on opposite ends of the unit for privacy. One bedroom has a King bed and the other (we call the forward bedroom) has two twin size beds that can be kept separate or pushed together for a larger bed. Baby Cribs available for rental.
