Peoria Vacation Rental house

Everytime we go away, I sulk as the vacation comes to an end. When we went to Peoria, I wasn't alone... My husband was very unhappy that our idyllic getaway was about to come to an end. We all were.
The house is set in a quiet little suburb... within easy driving distance to everything you could possibly need, including restaurant row... with every kind of offering you could need. There is also a huge mall nearby and a large supermarket... and the NASA space center. There is a neighbourhood pool nearby if you are looking for a change of view... but the pool at the house is beautiful... well maintained... and was the highlight of the holiday for my kids.
When we weren't in the pool, we spent most of our time travelling around the area and I can tell you that we didn't even manage to get to half of what we wanted to see. We took the long drive to Tombstone, went to the local roller coaster theme park, visited the Phoenix Science Center and History museum, and drove around the apache trial (definitely not for the faint hearted... some of it is unpaved and clings to the winding sides of the mountains.)
For us, the most important thing on holiday is to be able to do something with the kids pretty much every day to keep them from getting bored... and then back to a relaxing environment so we can all just chill out for a while. Here there was plenty to do and then it was heaven to come back to a pool and just relax. Be warned, you do need a car to do what we did... but we loved driving around and exploring the area.
The house was clean and comfortable... and the photos don't do it justice! There was pretty much everything you could need... and the pool table was a great opportunity for some fun adult time once the kids had gone to bed.
I believe that the true measure of the owners commitment to giving you a good rental experience is how they react when something goes wrong. On our first night the air conditioning wasn't stopped working. We called the owners early in the morning and they were very concerned. They called the experts and even dropped by themselves to see if there was a simple fix they could do in the interim. In the end, it did require a repairman to do the job... but that job was done by lunchtime... and we were nice and cool in no time! The owners were extremely apologetic... but the speed with which they sorted out the problem far outweighs any inconvenience.
After leaving the property, I got in touch with the owners and let them know that I would be willing to be a reference for future potential renters and told her she could give out my email. We have stayed in many rented houses for our vacation and this is definitely one we will be returning to. My only hesitation in recommending the property is a concern that it may become so popular that we can't get our chosen dates the next time around.
