Punta del Este House Rental Photos and Description
3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 1 half bathroom, sleeps 6 near beach and casino
'Beleza Pura’', means “True Beauty”, and lives up to its name. The home is a charming, character-filled beach house with views of the ocean, a short walk from exciting Montoya Beach. The quaint living room has decks to the East and West through sliding glass walls; one, for early or mid-day meals faces the palm trees to the front of the house; the other opens to the parilla and evening cocktails. Or eat in the dining area between the granite countered kitchen and the bamboo covered deck. A large fireplace forms the centerpiece of the living area. A second fireplace in the midst of the master bedroom creates fabulous late night atmosphere. You are never far from the outdoors, as every room has a door and a deck (five of them) or patio. You can see the ocean surf from the bedroom decks, or better yet, stroll to famous Montoya Beach, 400 meters away. Surfing and fishing is excellent, as is the people watching. The 5 star Mantra Casino is just 2 blocks away. Rent a car. Driving is safe.
The Area: A sleepy little town in the off season, LaBarra teams with people in the high season. Nearby restaurants, art galleries, spa, casino, bars and clubs are active in the high season, but can be limited in the off peak times. Montoya Beach is just at the end the street, a short walk away. Surfing, surf fishing and people watching are excellent activities. Up the coast are deserted beach areas and quaint art communities. Uruguay is safe, friendly, and a very nice place to spend some time. Fly to Buenos Aires and then to either Montevideo or Punta del Este. Car rentals are available and the roads are well maintained. Montevideo, the capital, is a well preserved European like city with sidewalk restaurants, bazaars, and sights to see. Punta del Este is about an hour and a half drive from Montevideo. Extraordinarily helpful and competent management staff will care for your every need.
Punta del Este Area: The Punta del Este region is centered on the peninsula and extends along the coast in both directions for seven miles. Playa Mansa is the beach that extends toward Montevideo, and Playa Brava heads off to the northeast and LaBarra. The tip of the peninsula separates the Atlantic Ocena from Rio de la Plata, although the water all appears as ocean. Playa Mansa offers calm swimming beaches while the Playa Brava area lends itself to rugged surf. Prices are economical as great meals can be had for $15 to $20 per person. The sidewalk restaurants on the peninsula offer ambiance and wonderful music filled late night dining. The Conrad Hotel and Casino as well as the near by Mantra offer english speaking staffs. A real estate revival is in progress here, with many new high rises under construction. Uruguay is often referred to as the Switzerland of South America. The locals welcome tourists as they are the lifeblood of the community.

I live in the United States in the state of Minnesota. I own rental properties in Uruguay, Bariloche Argentina, Grand Pacifica Nicaragua, Palm Springs California and Waikoloa Beach Hawaii.
I bought this home for its unique beauty, character and charm. La Barra is a charming small town near Punta del Este and the home is a short walk to the beach. I purchased the adjacent lot which has been incorporated into the property for extra privacy and enjoyment.
This architect designed home with multiple levels and unique rooms will delight you. The many outdoor decks and the outdoor fire grill (parrilla) are my favorite places to enjoy morning coffee, an afternoon beer or glass of local wine and a finely cooked lomo. You won't forget your stay in this home. My property managers go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and will help you with car rental, logistics, sights to see and travel tips.
