Beautifully updated l970's cottage with gas fireplace and a shower big enough for two, with wonderful back yard, huge deck for cookouts, and views of the area's lush landscaping. Restored for your comfort, it remains a true cottage feel with lots of wicker and a most comfortable place to sleep. Only a five-minute drive to the historic downtown with all its wonderful shops and galleries, yet within a short drive to Asheville, hiking, the Vanderbilt Estate, home of Carl Sandburg, and the Flat Rock Playhouse is only l5 minutes away. Also, a short drive to the Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway, the area is known for its climate, beauty, arts/crafts and antiques, with only the best of fine dining to be found.

Local activities include touring panoramic views, mountain biking, hiking, fishing and other leisurely outdoor sports as well as antiquing, crafting and general overall relaxing on our large outdoor deck or simply sitting by the fireplace in the cottage. Live theatre is available here and in Asheville- a quick l/2 hour drive away; both areas offer the finest in dining experiences. Other interest include Blue Ridge Parkway, waterfalls, Sliding Rock, Chimney Rock Park, Folk Art Center, and much else. This is a place to slow down if you wish, or there are many activities if you wish to be kept busy. Charlotte and Atlanta are only about 2 hours away!

The Cottage at Druid Hills is a historic neighborhood with many different facets. Mostly it is serene and quiet and lends itself to reading a book or sitting and lounging on the back deck while barbecuing from your Weber Grill. Its flavor is more Asian, with bamboo accents. There are 2 skylights, and it is a perfect getaway experience for two people. It is close to Flat Rock Playhouse, 5 minutes to historic downtown Hendersonville, and a half-hour to the infamous Biltmore Estate founded by the Vanderbilts. The cottage is non-smoking, and pets are welcome! We are available to service you during your entire stay and are reachable by cell-phone at any time should there be something you need. Welcome to the Cottage at Druid Hills!

The cottage was a great place to stay. The owners are very helpful, the location is great, and the property is very pet friendly. We felt so cozy and relaxed that we hated to leave!

Very Nice, Relaxing, Comfortable...Perfect

We came to a Dog Show in Fletcher and the cottage was perfect. Very nicely decorated, well equipped and in a nice quiet setting. Only 5 minutes from Hendersonville and easy access to all major roads etc. Would highly recommend it and would stay there again in a minute...

The location of this cottage was perfect for us. We had an out of state wedding to attend. This cottage is located in a friendly family neighborhood, amid the birds and woods. It's fashionably decorated, and spacious for 2 people

This cozy cottage is conveniently located in the North Carolina mountains a short drive from Asheville, Brevard, Flat Rock, Saluda and other picturesque towns. The gas fireplace provides for relaxing times; the well-equiped kitchen makes cooking a pleasure; and the firm mattress is great on the back!

This cottage is a great value.

When visiting this area again, we will be sure to stay here.

Happiness in Hendersonville

When so much of the internet is little more than hype, it was nice to find something that actually lived up to expectations. My wife and I stayed 16 days in August while we looked for a house to buy and found the little cottage to be well appointed, convenient to Hendersonville and Asheville, and a very comfortable place to chill out at the end of the day. With central air conditioning it was a great place to be for one of the hottest summers on reccord.
Yes, we did buy a house in Hendersonville with the help of the owner, who just happens to be a real estate agent.
