Margaret and I really enjoyed our stay in Tubac during Jan. and Feb. of 2014. I loved walking the De Anzo trail and the close proximity to the village.
The home is beautifully decorated, and well equipped with all the necessities and more. Since the weather was so nice, we spent many days walking to the large community pool with the mountain views, and friendly people. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings, and the sunsets were incredible.
The kitchen was well equipped for the many meals we prepared, and the barbecue grill on the back patio provided an enjoyable view of the trails, etc. while enjoying the outdoors. We traveled on day trips to Brisbee, Tombstone, Nogales, and the caverns of Vail. We toured the copper mines, Triton Missile tour, and the Missions in addition to a couple trips to Mexico. Of course, we were very happy with the Tubac Arts Festival. We traveled to Tucson (35 miles) to visit my brother and his family, ate at numerous restaurants, and attended a couple of Arizona basketball games while there. Also enjoyed the Farmer's markets in Tucson and Green Valley.
The home is very comfortable and the owner is honest, trustworthy, and easy to work with.
This is our 3rd visit to Jack and Marguerite's Tubac home. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Looking forward to the 5 day art festival and the Tubac archaeological tour, the area restaurants are fantastic, and the golf course is excellent (part of Tin Cup was filmed here).
Thanks for letting us stay in your home. It has made our stay in Tubac very enjoyable. Your house is much more than we expected. More a home than a rental, very well appointed. We especially enjoyed the art.
