New hand-hewn log home on 10 quiet and scenic acres. Not a milled log home!! Large Master Suite with a private entrance & private bath. Second bedroom in loft also has its own bath. Large kitchen with island & great room with wood burning stove. The Powder Room is off the kitchen. Furnished in a rustic style. Magnificent views of the Beartooth Mountains including two of the highest peaks in Montana. Three decks on all sides of the house and is quite private. The house overlooks the Stillwater River with river access out the back door to some of the best world class trout fishing. We have abundant wildlife all around the house. A herd of deer calls the front yard home. The Beartooth Wilderness is just down the road where you can hike, kayak, rock climb, fish or horseback riding. Whitewater Rafting on the Stilllwater or Yellowstone River. Close to dining and shopping. Please see our personal website by clicking the link under 'Further details' below. Nearest Airport: Billings, MT at 80 Miles
Car: necessary
We are located about 8 minutes from the Beartooth Wilderness with hiking, fishing, kayaking, rock climbing and many other activities including horseback riding and whitewater rafting. ATV rentals are also available. We also have many Forest Service hiking trails located close by. About 15 minutes from the historic town of Fishtail with some antique shops, general store, restaurant and the Cowboy Bar which often has entertainment on the weekends. Continue down road to Absarokee with more stores, grocery and souvenirs and restaurants. We are about an hour from Red Lodge with many shops, abundant dining and bars and lots of small town activities every weekend. The third week of July, about 3000 motorcycles from all over show up for the Iron Horse Rodeo in Red Lodge, which is great to see even if you don't ride a Harley. In the Winter, Red Lodge makes a nice day trip if you like to ski. You can ski all day and then have dinner at one of their wonderful restaurants and head back home.

  • 50% Deposit and rental agreement due with reservation. Our reservations are very important to us. If you cancel within 90 days, you'll receive your full deposit back less 10% processing fee. If you cancel less than 60 days, your deposit is subject to forfeiture unless we can re-rent any or all of your stay. The funds will be available to you upon that percentage less 10% processing fee.

  • The Master bath is very large with a glass shower and jacuzzi tub. The logs continue in the bath making it very rustic. Pedestal sink finishes it off. The loft bath is very large with a shower, sink and toilet. Decorated with Moose decor . There is also a powder room off the kitchen with toilet and sink.

Also a sitting area with big comfy chair overlooking the River.

What a Great Place to Vacation!!

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. The location was perfect and easy to get to from the Billings airport. The fishing was great and so was the wildlife watching! We will return! Thank you Mike and Debbie!
