Blue Moon is located on a dead end street on the bay side of St. George Island. Seclusion at its best! Put your feet up in the cushy lounge chairs and relax with a cold drink and the view from the 500 sq ft front porch overlooking the Apalachicola Bay. You'll be entertained by an abundance of sea birds and periodic jumping fish. Watch the oystermen harvest oysters from hotel bar in the morning and watch the uninformed pleasure boater run aground on hotel bar in the afternoon.
The view from the back deck is often that of a coastal aviary, showing the protected canal with floating dock. Pelicans, King Fishers, Skimmers, Seagulls and Great Blue Heron enjoy the canal as a great lunch spot. Keep your boat in the water and ready to go on the early morning fishing expedition or on a sunset cruise on a whim.
And, there's always a breeze under the house if you prefer to enjoy Blue Moon's outdoor hot and cold shower, downstairs lounging area equipped with table and chairs and hammock, park grill and dog pen.
The entire St. George Island and Apalachicola area is attuned to island time relaxation. Walk to the beach, bike ride on the bay roads, kayak the bayside canals, visit the St. George Island State Park, enjoy fresh seafood at one of many good restaurants or home cooked in Blue Moon's graciously equipped kitchen. If you feel like an outing, cross the bridge to Apalach for shopping and art.

My husband and I were fortunate to make some last minute plans to vacation on St. George Island. We were even more fortunate to have been able to book Blue Moon at the last minute. The house is beautiful with even more beautiful views of the Appalachicola Bay. There is a wonderful dock in the back of the house which drops off into a canal fed by the Bay which makes the perfect spot for crabbing or some late night or early morning novice fishing. There is a dog pen beneath the house whihc was perfect for our German police dog. The area is shady and stays cool despite the hot summer months. The layout of the house is ideal for visiting friends and family. There are eating areas on both the front and the back decks of the house.I am getting "homesick" missing the views of the Bay that we so enjoyed in the mornings when we awakened and at night watching the car lights cross the bridge. Blue Moon hope to see you soon.

LIABILITY: Guests expressly assume risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises and others they invite to use the premises.
PETS: $50 per pet.
DEPOSIT: Refundable damage/reservation deposit of $200 (weekly rentals) or $500 (monthly rentals) required with completed Rental Agreement to initiate reservation.
RENTAL FEE: ½ due 30 days prior to arrival; balance due 2 weeks prior to arrival.
