While Villas Caballitos is in a residential area called Corpus Cristi and on a very quiet street, it is only the 4th street from the ocean, just inland from Plaza Las Glorias hotel. It's a short walk to the water and even a shorter walk (3 blocks) to the big new Chedraui mini mall with grocery shopping, bakery, pharmacy, deli, liquor and a handy ATM machine as well as new modern movie theater, and even a new bowling alley. There are a number of good restaurants within a few blocks, and the main square downtown that is surrounded with shops and restaurants is also within walking distance, only about 10 blocks away.

There is a large, natural rock fountain and waterfall that pours into a free-form swimming pool completely lined with ceramic tile.
