Farmhouse il Gufo in San Marcello Pistoiese (Tuscany, between Florence and Lucca), is a perfectly restored farmhouse, divided into 4 apartments (1 one-bedroom, 2 two-bedroom). Each apartment respects the traditional architecture of the Tuscan cottages, with antique furniture and rustic interior features selected to maintain the warm atmosphere of the past. The external and internal stone walls and wooden ceilings are in total harmony with the Tuscan surroundings. Each of the apartments allows you to dine and relax in an apartment, with fully-equipped kitchen and open fireplace. . The 16 metre swimming pool is built into the side of the mountain and follows the natural curves of the environment. From here there are picturesque views of the valley and surrounding villages.

The farmhouse is deep in the mountains in the relatively 'undiscovered' north of Tuscany. While still within easy reach of Florence, Bologna, Lucca and Pisa, the villa is perfectly located for wonderful mountain walks, horse riding and skiing in winter. The farmhouse is a 20 minute walk from the centre of San Marcello Pistoiese.There are several restaurants in the village, banks with ATMs, pubs and bars, supermarkets, internet, and everything you might need on holiday. There are excellent restaurants in the local area. One is said to have invented the sumptuous 'tagliata'- a fat and juicy cut of beef cooked in a special way, and another offers 7 taster pasta dishes. Local specialities include Porcini mushrooms & wild boar! Local villages are lively throughout the summer, with parties and festivals. Choose which of the distinct seasons to visit in- here we have heavy spring blossom, hot summers, smokey autumns and winter skiing.
