I'm an architect and I have done university in florence, then I have decided to live in this beautiful city with my husband that came here nine years ago and now we have two doughters and a boy, we hope that the children enjoy here.I have a ceramic shop and I make mostly of the design of pottery that you can admire if you came in my gallery.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2007
We have decided to do an investment, and I have renovated the apartment like my personal taste. It is very confortable for families and I hope to live here one day.
It is a perfect location for people that want to walk every where in the city without car.It only two minutes walk from ponte vecchio, pitti palace , 5 minutes from uffizi and duomo , 15 minutes from train station.
Located in the heart of things, clean, very nice manager named Mery, but the accommodations in the apartment were cheerless and sub standard. One bedroom had no closet, no dresser, one floor lamp and no where to put possessions. Second bedroom had a closet rod near the ceiling, hard to impossible to reach, Third bedroom had an armoire that was fine, with hangers and shelf space. I like to read but all the bed lamps were dim and impossible to see with. Mis matched furniture and linens and very uncomfortable couch in the living room with no tables around to put even a glass. Place needs some tender loving care. Would have appreciated an information sheet with locations to local supermarkets, maybe some restaurant suggestions , etc. Overall a disappointing experience. Would not recommend.
Perfect location for exploring Florence with excellent facilities, a lift (1st floor apartment) and great security as suggested on previous reviews. We were able to walk with our bags from the car rental drop off and then later to the station. The apartment had more room than expected and although not flashy, extremely comfortable: beds were better than those we had experience in accommodation prior. It was quite noisy on the first night, which bothered the child in the front bedroom, but much quieter on the Sunday. We had no need for heating or cooling given the great weather we experienced. WiFi worked well and the apartment was well resourced including with tour books which we appreciated. Close to supermarket and great gelato. I would stay here again.
First of all the apartment location is superb, you couldn't do better if you tried, close to EVERYTHING.The apartment itself was very clean and spacious enough for my family of five.During our stay,we met Both Salvador and Mary who are Both very warm and welcoming owners.Would recommend this apartment highly.
Our family stayed in this apartment in Florence for 6 nights. It was awesome! Everyone had their own spacious room, the bathrooms were clean and good size and the bonus is a washer. The location is ideal for getting to stores, sites, gardens, food and the bus. The location is super central and very safe.
Mery gave us valuable information so that we could mingle with, and eat like the locals. Her guidance was invaluable and greatly appreciated. We can't speak highly enough about staying here.
As for the pottery. It is beautiful. We found ourselves in the shop daily visiting with Mery and admiring the pottery. You won't leave Florence without a piece, it's just to hard to resist.
We stayed in 6 different apartments during our trip to Europe and this was by far the best in every way.
I rented this lovely apartment in Florence with five other women in late March 2014. The flat is located Oltrarno very near the Pitti Palace. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, including an automatic dishwasher for clean up. The apartment has several beds, and two complete bathrooms each with a toilet and shower. There is a clothes washer, but no dryer; however, there is a clothes line on the balcony in the courtyard. We were able to wash and dry a few loads of laundry easily during our two-day stay. Provided also in the flat were adapters for our electric devices. We felt very safe in this flat. There is a double gate into the courtyard and apartment building, and the door of the apartment has a strong lock. There is a grocery, bakery, and the best gelato shop in Florence (I might have to say best gelato shop in all of Italy) located very near this apartment. Mery, the owner is very friendly and kind. I highly recommend this apartment for your visit to Florence.
We stayed for two nights in March (my husband, his parents, our 10 year-old son and myself), and my only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The location was perfect: easy walking distance to all of the sights and about 11 Euros taxi fare from the train station (although we easily walked to the train station for a day trip to Pisa when we didn't have luggage.)
We felt totally comfortable walking around at night, and it was great to be right by Ponte Vecchio.
The apartment was awesome! It was wonderful to have three rooms, two bathrooms and a living room/dining//kitchen area in an open space.
Wifi was super handy, as was the washing machine (must hang to dry, as usual in Europe.)
The beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens, towels, and blankets.
Meri was WONDERFUL! So friendly and accommodating. She made great recommendations for restaurants. I wish we could have stayed longer to talk with her more. Her ceramics shop was awesome too.
Would HIGHLY recommend this apartment to for families, groups of friends.
