Dine while you listen to the sounds of the surf and watch the gorgeous colors of the sunset. Enjoy watching the yellow tangs in the surf from your master bedroom wall-sized window. Celebrate the privacy that is yours in this beautifully landscaped end unit. Perfect for kids and adults to step off and around the yard.

You view whales, spinner dolphins, sea turtles, kayakers and outrigger canoes right from our windows. Step out the door and you can sunbathe on the grass in our yard, or snorkel at the beach. Our townhouse is located next to Kahalu'u Beach where you will find the best snorkeling park on the island. You can swim with honu (turtles) and enjoy the beautiful tropical fish.

And for those of you experienced swimmers...the best snorkeling to be found in Hawaii is just off the private beach outside your back door!!

Why Sandy chose Keauhou

I networked with the owner of this unit for 3 years prior to experience the good fortune of having the opportunity to purchase it. It's a gorgeous and exceptional unit. It's less than 30 feet to the surf, it's an end unit surrounded by grass, shrubs AND, best of all, it's got oceanfront views from EVERYWHERE in the unit except one bedroom and one bathroom. The view from the master bedroom is better than any other unit I've ever stayed in!! Also, parking is 20 feet from front door, there's a beach with turtles outside your back door and an ancient heiau on the beach!! An exceptional find anywhere!! And a delight to share with guests!

What makes this townhome unique

This is an end unit; it has a delightful grassy back yard that is really just yours when you're there - a beach that you can be walking on within two minutes OR a wonderful pool two minutes the other direction. The unit is furnished simply so you can make it your own when you're there - no do-dads, etc...but everything you need to enjoy a home away from home is at your fingertips. We love our home away from home and do everything we can to make sure YOU do, too. And, we've been exceptionally luck to enjoy guests that visit repeatedly and guests that just appreciate our property and take good care of it in our stead. Aloha!

“We found our Shangri-la”

Townhouse #196 provided that peaceful and comfortable homebase that we were looking for on our vacation. What we really liked was the unbeatable oceanfront lanai, the privacy, the swimming pool being just across the parking lot. We are nature lovers and were delighted to spot a mongoose, birds, and, of course, turtles were spotted as advertized. Our landlady, Sandy, thoughtfully provided the basic needs to begin our stay. The townhouse is located within historical dwellings which provided a very interesting sidelight. We've already scheduled our return visit.

I cannot imagine coming to Kona and staying at any other location! It was such a quiet complex with breathtaking views of the water, our bedroom looked out over the water and each morning we watched as paddle boards went by. Each evening we listened to the water crashing on the shore and let it lull us to sleep! The yard was perfect for our children to run and play, as it was an end unit and had tons of grass, and this is where they learned about geckos and were able to see an amazingly large snail! Book well in advance - it is well worth planning ahead!

This unit was a great value for the money - gorgeous views, comfortable, well-equipped. Sandy was very helpful and everything was smooth and easy - from booking, to directions, to checkout. Unit is next to a beach park with the best snorkeling I experienced anywhere in Hawaii! Townhouse has everything you need to cook if you choose to - including spices and some condiments, and has beach gear to borrow. Wifi was fast and actually worked, and cable TV available on flat-screens. We had a lovely vacation here and plan to return!

“Townhouse #196 - Perfect location on west side of The Big Island”

My two friends and I recently had a girls' holiday away and could not have asked for a better start to our trip! From the moment we walked in, Townhouse 196 instantly felt welcoming. It is like a home away from home!
The townhouse is extremely comfortable and clean, with modern conveniences and everything you need for the beach.
We enjoyed sitting on the lanai, listening to the waves and watching the beautiful sunset, while sipping on a glass of wine each evening.
The location is great - close to supermarket and shops for pantry stocks (not that we needed too much, 'cause this place came pre-stocked with many items!) and a short drive into Kona-Kailua (<10 mins). It was an even shorter drive (<5 mins) to the location of our night snorkelling with the Manta Rays which I would also highly recommend!
Sandy made everything so easy for us, from the time I enquired, through to booking, payment and checkout.
We all enjoyed our stay here and have no hesitation in recommending Townhouse 196 at the Surf and Racquet Club. It was great to be staying away from the noise of Kona at night, but still being close enough for dinner! Listening to the waves at night is absolutely mesmerising!

Condo#196 in Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club was one of the best condos we’ve ever rented for vacation. It was spacious, super clean, well equipped, with a superb location and view of the ocean. This condo is tastefully decorated (love the stone floor) and has everything you need from beach towels, kitchen supplies and cookware, to directions on how to run everything. Jeri, the property manager, is very nice, and always willing to help. The ceiling fans in every room were a plus, and we were always very comfortable. We ate our meals on the lanai watching the sunset. The pool is great, very refreshing, and never busy and super clean. The tennis courts looked great, though with so much to do we didn’t get a chance to play.
We had a wonderful two week vacation, traveling to beaches, historical sites, snorkeled every day, and traveled to the volcano (hiked the crater and saw petroglphs), drove around the island seeing lush botanical gardens, beautiful green pastures, black sand beach, and amazing lava flows.
We were active everyday and our 12 year old read 9 books on Hawaiian culture and history while we were there, and with so much to do he did not turn on the TV once! This was a vacation of a lifetime and the condo was perfect!
